Ok Robinton just made a patch to his Cubic Chunks mod that increases the blockIDs to 4096.
Pros: BlockIds go upto 4096
The Cubic chunk mod requires Forge, so you have infinte sprites
Cubic Chunks increases the world height to 65,000+
Cons: you have 2 install cubic Chunks
Cubic Chunks modifies a lot of base classes so its not super compatible
you have 2 download 3 mods instead of 1

I'm going to wait until 1.9 comes out and see if the error goes away when I update it. If I manage to fix the error I will be releasing this with couple of other mods I have been making.
EDIT: I edited a couple things and I got Minecraft to run while in Eclipse, but it doesn't work with the Minecraft Client. Also there are several bugs, the water doesn't have any light opacity, blocks that the player is holding or that are rotating on the ground are black, the player is black, all animals are black. I think its an error in texture managing part of the mod, so if any one sees this and can help PM me

Ya i'm working on a 1.8 update(mainly because i don't want to keep updating the MCP every time a new pre-release comes out), but I will start a 1.9 update once it "officially" comes out
It will be 1.0, not 1.9. Beta is about to be over. A 1.8 release would have been nice to have, btw. Mojang specifically chose not to release a non-pr patch so the mod community could have an opportunity to develop.
I've installed few mods, and now, the moment was come, where I haven't got more free Sprite IDs. So I installed Minecraft Extended mod, and the game also loads perfect, but everytime when I try to start a new world, or when I load a safe file, it crashes. Does someone knows how to solve this?

The mod has a bug which disables the nether!
I know it sucks!
I have a long list of mods that w8 in my laptop so I can use them all together!
But sadly, I'm limited to only just a handful of them!
I really hope that Mojang team at least will do something about this!
