If everybody is having the problem while using Magic Launcher, but not without it, logically the problem would be with Magic Launcher, right?
edit: I've discussed this with other mod creators, and this seems to be the case with them too. Their mods don't work with Magic Launcher but work fine with the normal launcher.
I tried installing Timber manually and still not working, don't know why...
I've been trying to download Timber 1.6.2 from the link on the 1st page of this topic but hotfile.com tells me that the download is in progress ~~ which it isn't.
Anyone else experiencing the same problem?
Maybe, I'm an idiot & the link just isn't available but I'm stumped so I thought I'd throw my confusion out there for someone to give me a clue.....
Having the same problem as Freckles - It would be really nice if there were mirrors available. I don't mind adfly links but free hosts that block you from downloading if you DLed the wrong version are horrible.

agreed after waiting for the adfly link the dang hotfile makes you wait longer and than FAILS ...... shows a 0 mg file?
I just hoped this would of worked with mc-patcher which I use to mod minecraft, like Rei's Minimap, Too Many Items, Better Sprinting, LightLevelOverlay and such.
Still trying to find this out myself, you used to be able to do
#axeIds (java.lang.String:258, 271, 275, 279, 286) -- List of item ids that are axes
#
#Sat Jun 29 19:40:54 BST 2013
axeIds=258
checksum=-ctujnv
toggleKey=46
And only have the iron axe work, but all the variables have been taken out of the config file now it seems.
The config file is working fine for me, what mods are you using? I tested it just a minute ago, removing 271 (wood axe) from the IDs list and the wooden axe doesn't Timber anymore.
That toggleKey option was taken out a LONG time ago, btw.
Didn't mean to upset you, TehKrush. I was trying to provide some feedback regarding TimberMod but it looks like I did it very badly. I apologize for that.

I just don't know what to do. I don't see how to fix Magic Launcher. What did your friend do?
If you download the mod, you can open the code in the file and check it out. Or you can mail the dude directly. He's the one that started that thread.
Very best of luck.
BTW, the Magic Launcher thing only came about because I can't for the life of me get ModLoader to work on the new 1.6.x platform. I spent over a dozen hours working on the problem, and someone said "why not try Magic Launcher", so I did and it totally worked. Then I loaded all my other mods and they pretty much worked too. I didn't have to spend hours figuring out which order to load what mods into the JAR file and do MC Patcher at what point, etc. I just loaded 'em into Magic Launcher, used Optifine instead of MC Patcher and bam - I got 1.6.2 working.
I just manually installed Timber with ModLoader, and it worked. I can tell you how.
I kinda recommend deleting .minecraft and running the launcher to redownload it. Clears out all useless stuff from previous moddings and versions and blah.
Go to your versions folder. Make a copy of the 1.6.2 folder inside and rename it to "1.6.2.modded" or something. Rename the jar and json file inside of that folder to what you renamed the folder to. Open the json file and change "1.6.2" to whatever you renamed it to. Open the jar in that folder and delete META-INF and add ModLoader's files. Create a folder called mods inside of the 1.6.2.modded folder. Put Timber.zip inside that folder.
Open the Minecraft launcher, create a new profile. Make the profile use your 1.6.2.modded folder. Launch game.
Also, the only way to fix the Magic Launcher problem is to not use ModLoader or Minecraft Forge, which is what that guy did. That's not a real solution to me. I have been trying to get Timber to work with Magic Launcher myself, and nothing is working. Not even with Minecraft Forge instead of ModLoader.
You don't mind that he used your code as a base to get it working do you? I hope not. It's just a fan of the mod helping out with some of the strange stuff going on with 1.6.x
Sorry to cause trouble on this. I was just trying to get things working, and may have gotten a bit over-zealous in doing so.

For bolded, sorry for be "rude" but my mod also don't work with Magic Launcher and the mod it's Vanilla. As I said.
Anyway, I love your mod. It makes my life more easy.

Well, Timber is 0MB.

So??? You were able to download the file from hotfile? I STILL can't.
I'm in the exact same situation. It has been driving me batty.
Thankfully, there is a fan of the mod who has tweaked it to work properly, and I'm testing it with him for use with Magic Launcher.
Bottom line is, I start magic launcher, load Mod Loader first, then this tweaked version he has programmed and it works 100% for me.
I don't know why TehKrush isn't able to tweak his code the same way, but until he does, I'm grateful to have this option.
Even TreeCapitator doesn't work with mc-patcher.

It's probably something stupidly easy.
