I have the same problem!
I would like to use with the Wild Grass and the Grass from the Better MCPatcher ... Unfortunately, both mods are not compatible:( Can you ejhopkins change anything?
wild grass and better grass working perfect together.
just get a fresh minecraft.jar than install modloader. after install mod loader patch with the mcpatcher andcheck better grass option. After patching install wildgrass.
I have made it so described. Once the Wild Grass mod is installed, the Better Grass is gone ... I used the Wild Grass Mod folder Modloader.
He has not even been here since he updated the WildGrass.
At least he did a partial update. WildCaves was abandoned, and the new coral has so many requirements, it might as well have been. But honestly, can you blame them? With the push to release Minecraft on consoles (announced for the 360 at E3) and phones such as the Experia Play, I expect we'll be seeing new updates that break old mods even more.
It should work out well in the end. Having to comply with existing standards, such as the Xbox 360 achievements and DLC's, will hopefully stabilize the system with a proper API.
You're part of a very small minority, especially in this thread. Not to mention you can use both and it looks even better than either one alone. I can actually verify this as I've reverted back to 1.5 until the next full update is released. Me Tarzan can't live without vines.
While we wait for further Wild Grass developments, can someone point me at a nice 32x32 set of wild grass textures? Isolated that is, since the current version of Wild Grass cannot use texture.png.

But first, ejhopkins announced WildVines and WildLilis for "tomorrow", and it's been 5 days ago if I'm right.
I'm also a developer and I know how hard it is to say when your work will be finished, but if you need more than twice the time you told us you'd need, somethings wrong.
And on my server, nearly everyone is using WildVines because they're cool and useful. If I'd update now, the Vines would drop all together because they're sugar and not set near water.

Cry me a river. He's probably got something on his plate and he'll get back to it when he has time. Just be patient.
I agree on the vines, but complaining only serves as a demotivator, so if you're going to say anything, say something positive; be encouraging.
Oddly, my canes spawned from vines have never dropped. Since the update, I go back and forth between 1.5 and 1.6, but no matter how long I play in 1.6, I always have perpetual sugar canes. In the last update from 1.4 to 1.5, I played for a few weeks before the Wild Grass update and they still never dropped. Odd, but it suits me just fine. A word of caution, though. If you start a world in 1.6 with tall grass, shrubs, and dead saplings, then roll back to 1.5, your new vegetation will be destroyed and will not regenerate when you go back up to 1.6 unless someone comes up with a mod for generating new vegetation in old chunks similar to ore redistribution.

Actually someone did make a regenerator (repopulator) here:

EDIT: Yes, yes it is. Had to reset grass first.
