how come it's so hard for the author to reimplement the things he already did on an older version...how hard can it be if u know your stuff. this is just discouraging...wanted to rebuild what i've lost because minecraft update, and now i find that the most useful tool to build things fast with...it's broken....good lord.
The code changed dramatically in 1.3, and simo has to rewrite everything to make sure it all works in conjunction with everything else. Even if you do know your stuff, having to code something this big from scratch will take some time. You need to be happy that there's at least 4.1 out; simo didn't have to release anything until he got it all working, but since people like to complain more than they play the actual game, he did. I'll give you props for not saying "IT'S A TRASH", but you need to be patient and try and do something by hand, or do something else besides minecraft.
And simo, it seems that when my game crashed earlier, SPC uninstalled itself or something. I type "/help" into the console and it just gives me the standard minecraft cheats. Just wanted to let you know.
Simo, i think it's awkward that YOU apologized for taking so long, i wouldn't have been surprised if you shut it down due to all the people demanding updates, so, on behalf of myself and all others who requested updated, we apologize, and thank you for working so very hard, you don't even have to do this for us, i think everyone can learn something from you. thank you simo, your amazing.
skin speed noclip and most of em wouldnt work...(not to rush u,but please make another update if u can)
Did you read the update notes?he didn't add even half of the commands because he had to completely rewrite the mod because of 1.3.1 and the patch 1.3.2 because of how it changed with the single player server lan crap

o...sry...i didnt finish looking at the post...my bad
thanks so much simo, really appreciate this, sorry you had to deal with the whiners and complainers while you worked, but you pulled it off, good job man

I completely agree with this. In fact, I was about to post something quite similar. I really appreciate the fact that you take your personal time to do this simo. Because of this newest update, you basically have to completely rewrite this giant mod from scratch. I know nothing about coding but I can only imagine how much work you have put into this. As you said, you also have to think of ways to re-implement commands because it's so different now, and I'm sure that's extremely frustrating.
Whether you read this or not simo, I hope you know this.
This update was about 250KB of code before compiling, to put that in perspective I typed most of that out from scratch. 1KB is around 1000 characters, therefore 250KB is around 250,000 characters of logic that was written.. minecraft code was also significantly changed which means things that did work I have to work out new ways of doing.. sound a little daunting? I hope so.. stuff will come back but it will take time.
I appreciate your hard work and can't wait for the other commands to come back, especially noclip.

I also would like to echo this post and thank Simo for getting at least a working model for us to use. Please stop the whining and moaning, I am sure he will get to each command when and if he can. If you can't play Minecraft with what you have.. go and do or play something else.
I have to first say, Thank you so damn much for this mod and keeping it going. Been using if for quite some time now, when I went up to 1.3 for the new features I was anxiously waiting for the following SPC update, but rather than getting mad about it I just did it all by hand (because its better than just ranting and raving that someone else needs to do the hard work while I sit doing nothing). Now that it is partially released I was estatic, I'm glad that it seems to be making good progress for the daunting task it is to re-write everything. I for one agree that you shouldn't need to appologize to those that are simply complaining for complaint's sake. Aslo, for those complaining without helpful info such as what seems to be the issue or stating something doesn't work which is are already explained in the OP, if takes the time to reply to your non-constructive comment, its that much more time you're taking out of his schedule of fixing actual problems so please just appreciate that he has opened to use what he has been able to finish.
tl;dr B**** please, simo you're amazing.
Sorry if this has been asked already, but I'm having problems using some commands like reach and some others. I keep getting a message saying 'Unknown command. Please use /help for a list of commands'
I'm currently in creative mode with cheats turned on. Is this affecting the use of SMC in any way? Or am I just typing them in wrong? I usually just do it like /reach or //reach and nothing works. Please someone help me with this.
Does the /reach command even work in the new update anymore? That's the most useful command in this mod.
Thanks for updating this mod though! I missed having it in my game.

Consider reading the first post by Simo, like he says to do. It tells you everything about the update. Theres no reach command as of right now.
simo, have you considered making this a collaborative project using something like github to coordinate the efforts? Although I've been trying for about a month now to re-implement reach and am running into all the problems you're probably already aware of, I think I could probably tackle some of these lighter commands like //wand; I'm sure there are others on this thread who could manage to get MCP installed and dig into some things.
I am sure its been mentioned before but the search feature is not helping me find it.
FLY and LIGHT commands don't appear to be working. Didn't see em in the list of excluded or disabled commands. Might have missed them though.
Great mod, thanks for all the work on it.
EDIT: Found this a couple of pages back.. So FLYing has been addressed.
Fly has not been included in the current update as yet, a lot of commands have not been updated... there is a list of what commands have been included in this version on the front page of the thread.
I take it then LIGHT has also been disabled or left out for now.
Again, Great mod. Thanks very much for all the work. If I am ever in your country I owe you a beer!

I have considered it.. I usually come to the conclusion that I would prefer to have complete control over the project. This could still be accomplished by github but then I would have to worry about pull requests then verify that there aren't bugs in the code, seems it would add alot of overhead. I'm not ruling it out, I am just not keen on it at the moment, especially since there is still core functionality missing.
You can write commands for spc really easily in this version, just extend the standard command class and use the @Command class annotation.
Simo great work and I'm glad to finally be able to use SPC again. Minecraft without your wonderful mod just would not be the same. I have one more question. Do not worry I will not ask for commands that have not been or not yet inserted into the current version ;-)
My problem concerns WorldEdit in singleplayer. Previously (<1.2.5) it was possible between different savegames to carry the clipboard and so a test-creativ-world structures inserted into another world. This does not currently seem to work, because the clipboard is cleared after logging out. Is something like this in general planned or completely disappeared from the concept? Unfortunately, using Worldedit Bukkit Plugin also not interchangeable between different servers, so I have no other possibility to bring different parts of savegames together to melt some worlds. Sorry for my bad grammar, my elementary school english is not only bad but also too long ago.
