If you couldn't find the "minecraft.jar folder" and Minecraft is crashing, then how did you even install it? Read the original post on how to install mods. Basically, you open and install mods into the minecraft.jar with something like WinRAR.
The Minecraft .jar is located in the "bin" folder, inside the .minecraft folder. Easiest way to find it is to open Minecraft, go to Texture packs and click the button that opens the texture pack folder. Go up a level and you will be in the .minecraft folder. If you go up another level, you will see the folder. At this time, I suggest you make a shortcut of this folder and throw it on your desktop. Believe me, it helps.
Okay, so I got this mod along with the VoxelBox modpack, and now when I connect to my own local server, I see the debug message indicating there's no waypoints on the server, and only waypoints I add myself show up. Are there instructions for adding a server-based waypoint list for this mod to hook into for all modded clients connecting?

Stopping!
Hey! I've always used your minimap and have loved it. One suggestion I had was to make an option to show mobs on the map. For example a a zombie would have a red circle and a creeper would have a green. Ive always had a problem either leaving my house to a creeper or not realizing what dungeon mob it holds.
The minimap does not yet support that. Waiting on another project I'm working on.

Stopping!
I told you when you asked in PM that I do not support mycraft. Asking here will not help you. I don't support it because it's badly done and a pain to support. so, why don't you try not using it?
Hey! I've always used your minimap and have loved it. One suggestion I had was to make an option to show mobs on the map. For example a a zombie would have a red circle and a creeper would have a green. Ive always had a problem either leaving my house to a creeper or not realizing what dungeon mob it holds.
That'd be what's known as a "cheat". Zanminimap is not a cheat. why don't you go find something that is?

Zan's Minimap is great and I have used it in the past, on my slower computer that only got about 20 FPS. That was back around Minecraft Beta 1.3 or so.
I wanted to use the map again on my new computer. While playing the game without the mod I average 140 FPS.
I downloaded the mod and installed it. At first I was excited to have the mod again, but I noticed something about my FPS.
The FPS was down around the 80's in the beginning(No problem), but at some points I had FPS all the way in the 20's.
Has anyone else been having performance issues with this mod? 140 to 20 is a big difference, and happened after installing the mod.
The human eye can only register 60 FPS, so anything from 30-65 is good, and anything higher is overkill. (or so I've heard)
The times when it gets down to the 20s sounds like a lag spike, considering the difference in FPS. There was a certain mod that dealt with lag spikes, at the cost of being unable to use Optifog, or Optimine.
Edit: You should try using Optimine+Optifog first, though, since they generally improve overall FPS.
The possibilities of the past and future are as various as our imaginations. How far we can think, and what we can think of, is dependent on each of us, and what we believe in.

My friend told me to turn on threading in the options. It seems to have helped.
Hey Lahwran. I'm not going to complain about a mod not working, they all work fine!
I was wondering if you where thinking of making Zans Minimap compatible with The Aether. That would be great!
I was investigating the current incompatibility between ModLoaderMP and the worldedit CUI to see if there was a way I could do some tweaking to make them work together (but the tools are not being cooperative and I haven't done any modding myself to have the experience to know how to make them behave, if it's even possible).
In the only file that both mods change, WECUI is only adding a single line in order to monitor incoming chat. But it looks like that could easily be moved into the method that is normally called, which would put the chat hook in a different file, eliminating the clash (since I'm pretty sure ModLoaderMP doesn't modify any GUI stuff). This might be a quick and easy way to create an alternative version which is compatible with ModLoaderMP, until a better approach comes around. What do you think? I hope that idea is helpful, as I love having WE CUI, but can't use it with anything requiring MLMP. :sad.gif:
hey lahwran, just wondering if you have put any more thought into making save files compatible with multiverse/lan/multiple maps from the same ip address, as discussed here. i am a n00b at java and im poking around the source...if you (or someone else) feel like giving me a hint or two on how to get the name/seed or some other way to identify a map from a server ill take a crack at doing it myself.
when I tried to install GUI-API, I get a black screen and

So, I've been trying to get my Minecraft to work after loading mods into it. But GUI API and Finite Liquid seem to be having some sort of clash or something. I'm mostly sure I narrowed it down to that. There isn't any crash log to report on either. Because it doesn't crash. It just hangs and eventually stops responding.
Seek the OP and ye shall find. If you still can't find it, please throw your computer out the window and never reproduce.

What should I do to fix this?
Thanks,
Rodrigo
Unfourtunatly I have encountered a bug. I have these mods installed:
GuiApi 10.4
Id Resolver
Intergrated redstone
ModLoader
ModLoaderMP
Piston Patch
Red power core
TooManyItems
Wireless Redstone 14
Buildcraft full set 1.7.3.2
Also I use MyCraft
I noticed it was not working when I couldn't acess the global settigs menu to change the options for ID resolver because it didn't seem to be working porperly (the main gui was not appearing and so I went to that menu to see if I could fix it but every time I try to go to the menu it saves the chunks then crashes. I have even tried extracting it from the zip but it still does not work. *Crash log below* Also could someone tell me if it is ID Resolver that is breaking?
Using launch options:
-Xmx1024m
-Xms1024m
Running with custom launch options
MyCraft Launcher 5.0
MyCraft V2.3.0
Running from folder: C:\Users\johalh\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin\mycraft
Lib file: minecraft.jar

Stopping!
SoundSystem shutting down...
Author: Paul Lamb, www.paulscode.com
Yeah, I need to fix that ... not serious though, the landscape is not made up of pistons
The minimap does not yet support that. Waiting on another project I'm working on.
Oh wow, you seemed to have crashed *java*. No other comment...
neither do I.
I told you when you asked in PM that I do not support mycraft. Asking here will not help you. I don't support it because it's badly done and a pain to support. so, why don't you try not using it?
That'd be what's known as a "cheat". Zanminimap is not a cheat. why don't you go find something that is?
Stupidity on the rise with a 40% chance of shitstorms.
Hmm ?...
[/trolling]
And about this ? Is it fixable ?
The minimap is freezed until adjusting the zoom.
I used your mod in the past alrdy so no idea whats wrong now :/
My friend told me to turn on threading in the options. It seems to have helped.
I was wondering if you where thinking of making Zans Minimap compatible with The Aether. That would be great!
Cheers.
Camt
In the only file that both mods change, WECUI is only adding a single line in order to monitor incoming chat. But it looks like that could easily be moved into the method that is normally called, which would put the chat hook in a different file, eliminating the clash (since I'm pretty sure ModLoaderMP doesn't modify any GUI stuff). This might be a quick and easy way to create an alternative version which is compatible with ModLoaderMP, until a better approach comes around. What do you think? I hope that idea is helpful, as I love having WE CUI, but can't use it with anything requiring MLMP. :sad.gif:
