what kind of crap is that?
i tested this mod, didnt like it, and removed it (including all its contents) ...
but now i dont get any spawns.
no mobs (zombie, spider, creeper, enderman) ...
no animals (cow, sheep, chicken, pig) ...
nothing ...
so your freakin mod completely ruined my game.
how can i get those spawns back?
and how can an uninstalled mod even manipulate the game?
Please make a backup of your minecraft file and then:
1. install Forge (unzip the .zip file and add all of its contents to your minecraft.jar file)
2. install GUI Api (just copy the .jar file into the /coremods folder)
3. Delete the META-INF folder in the minecraft.jar file
4. locate your .minecraft/mods folder
5. copy the MoCreatures.zip and CustomSpawner.zip files inside your \.minecraft/mods folder
6. Play

@cranarack
and that tells me how an uninstalled mod can still manipulate vanilla minecraft behaviour?
where is the information i missed?
and by the way ... i made an old backup before i installed mo'creatures ... a long time ago when i had to install it for playing on a server SO I DID MAKE A BACKUP
but after i did it i updated my modpack a few times.
and where is the instruction to make a backup before uninstalling the mod?
before start flaming, spamming, and blaming me for using a buggy mod, start thinking please
First of all, you do not have to be so abrasive..you should back up your .minecraft folder before you install ANY mods. I personally have several back up folders just in case.
Now, if you are having problems, do a force up date, and systematically re install whatever mods fit your preferences ..just be sure to test each mod before you add a new one..make back up of working files and keep going..it may be tedious but it will save you the trouble of having to post a rant on the forums and illicit the ire of several members due to your obvious rudeness. Hope this helps and have a nice day.
so you call ME rude ...
and how would you call that?
i started to be "kinda rude" AFTER someone started that spam attack ... before that, i simply told you what the mod did to my game. is that rude?
and i still dont have an answer to the question, how the installation of the came could cause the game to stop spawning enemies and mobs. so thanks for completely ignoring the main question of my posts that's really polite of you
my point is that you didn't read the install just backup everything before you add a mod just delete old mc then put back up in (also did you try to load a world with mo creatures previously on that?) that's what i do and i spammed that to get my point across that no one reads the op before posting questions srry if it offended you

I didn't answer this one initially due to my lack of knowledge...
I did not finish the wyvern towers, as it will add more time to the release, we're just finishing the new config / biome /update code now
ETA....? a couple of days perhaps

I have a fix (had this happen myself before and search functions on these forums and the net in general are your friend).
I understand you're mad, I was too when it happened to me, but it doesn't help to be rude. People don't like negative attitudes.
Anyway, here's the fix:
Reinstall both Mo'Creatures and Custom Mob Spawner. Start up MC, but don't go in-game. Click "Options", go into the "Global Mod Options" > then DrZharks Custom Spawner. Click the "Reset to defaults" button, then close everything and quit MC. Remove CMS and Mo'C. Start up MC again and open your game. If you still don't see spawns, type in
/gamerule doMobSpawning true
in your chat and hit Enter/Return. All should be good!

Even before I updated to 1.5 I would install it, and whenever I tried to open a world my minecraft would crash. I have a Mac Snow Leopard OS X on 10.6.8
If anyone could help me figure out what it is. Is it me, my computer, or am I losing brain cells at a 500% rate?!
I was actually fixing it quite probably as you typed that... LOL... grammar Nazis rule.
Oh believe me, I use the edit function quite often as I read my posts. If it were not for spell check, I would probably appear to be more of an idiot than usual.

Thom666 hit the nail on the head as to why you received the response you did. (Which was VERY mild in forum/chat perspective)
That said, ANY mod that has an independent gui (in this case Custom Mob Spawner) is going to take some extra steps to remove. This is where reverse logic applies.
"I had to install this SPECIFICALLY to install that" usually means that the same holds true for reversal. And the game just does what you tell it. So if you tell it "Look to CMS to set spawning rates" then remove CMS.. logically it isn't going to go in and reset them automatically... Its just going to keep doing what it was last told.
This isn't to pile on you.. this is the type of logic ANYONE using modular programs needs to keep in mind. Just because you didn't write the code doesn't exempt you from knowing the logic that makes it work.
Unless, of course, you just want to get badly frustrated and flame out on forums. In which case... carry on.

Well, I think I may be the most help to you, since I have the exact same computer. Send a crash report

Man, what is happening to you? ._. you are being like those bullies on tv
If you'll post the WHOLE crash report to there, I might be able to help you. I don't know what all the mods you're using and it usually helps to copy and paste the whole crash report
I think there should be proper uninstall instructions on first post along with all of the features of the mod. I shouldn't be looking for non-existant changelogs because they were too old to keep and figure out what's still in the mod or not. At times I see a creature and I think "hey I didn't know this creature was in the mod" or "I really want to tame this new interesting creature I found. Is it tameable? How do I do it?" etc. These should be in the first post or there should be a guide for the mod if the first post is having space limitations somewhere else. I had to look up how to fix mobs not spawning problem after an uninstall as well.
Going back to my first point, there's no way you would know that the mod messes up vanilla creature spawns if you're not familiar with mods much or just installed, didn't like it, removed it and left with an empty world. "What the crap is this" is not how you get help though.

I agree things like that should be easier to find, but when that information isn't readily available, people should be smart enough to try searching the forums, or using a search engine (Google, Bing, etc.). It's how I found the majority of fixes for issues, including the one I described for loss of spawns when uninstalling this mod.
Speaking of which, there's also a Dr. Zhark wiki online with most of the information on Mo'Creatures. Link? nah, go Google it. it's there.
