I just started installing mods for the first time in having minecraft for over a year and I come across this spectacular mod that would complete my life.......... but it hasn't updated to 1.2.4 yet
cant seem to get my sound working, i've got like 5 copies of the sound files all througout my minecraft folder.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
i got a texture pack now, its here it changes how armor and tools look and has a few slight changes to a few blocks in terrain like making the redstone torch look more like a redstone torch then a lollipop.
Anyone who thinks this amazing mod is going to come out in an SMP format is silly. There is 0 interest from anyone with ability in the modding community to do it. First there was Blood but now he's completely out of the game, and then there is Jsn_Man or whatever from the ssp--->smp thread he claimed he was 90% done about 3 - 5 months ago then made an "official" statement saying it was basically too hard and that he was giving up. Basically this is the one mod that needs to be in SMP to make the outside world less boring, but it will never see SMP.
k i'll delete the rest of the not in my resources folder ones and keep that one, i was making so many of them in hopes that one would work at least but it failed sadly, might have to do with the other mods i have installed but i duno why that would make any difference with the lack of conflicting files.
also yes i have installed audio mod

If you still can't get it working after you've done that, post what other mods you have here and I'm sure someone will spot a conflict if there is one

I highly doubt (highly) that mod conflict has anything to do with your problem. If you installed Mo' Creatures properly and all is going well without the audio, perhaps you didn't extract the resources folder itself into .minecraft? The folder structure is important.
Do you think it's possible to code the werewolf so that he only transforms during full moon? We should also have the option to disable this in the mod settings.
Edit (4/13/2012): When disabled, they transform every night.

i duno how anything could conflict besides mod loader and optifine which have the same file tho optifine's duplicate is just like mod loader's with a lil extra stuff, i used mc patcher to install all of my mods and it tells me what conflicting files there are.
mods i'm useing are as follows,
mod loader
Rei's Minimap
Done button mover
smart moving (and its requirement "player api")
this mod and all its requirements
timber mod
better dungeons (it states in the mod's main page it is compattable with this)
and optifine
ima go through and freshy reinstall everything to make sure its all in the right place.

When you say you installed all your mods with MCPatcher, I hope you don't mean Mo'Creatures too. It's got a special installation that definitely has to be followed, or it's not going to work.

yea i had messed with it a bit and moved the mod folder mo, creatures out so i could mc patcher it, i recently redid my whole minecraft folder tho so i'm not 100% sure the sounds dont work at the moment, but i'm just going to guess they don't not much difference in what i've done previously but this time i installed all the mods by hand, and theres only one copy of the sounds in .minecraft/resources/mod/sound, should i just move all the sound files into the already existing sound folder directly in resources, i had both places covered last time i installed them.
edit: just punched one of my goats its not fixed.
also tryed turning my music up all the way and doing it again, also failed to get any sounds from anything.
ah i see why MCPatcher wouldnt work for the Mo'Creatures.zip in the mods folder inside the mod zip, that one is missing the mod_mocreatures.class
but whats the point in having both the mod files and the mod folder's zip file that are almost exact duplicates, from what i'v seen installing them both causes problems and installing the one thats just a folder full of files causes problems as well wile the .zip that you toss in the mods folder works perfectly, tho its lacking sound on my side.
ok think i may have found what i was doing wrong, looked at the readme again and i guess the mo creatures folder just goes directly into the .minecraft folder with the other stuff put in its locations in the mod and res folders.
testing to see if the sound works now.
nope, still no sound at all from the Mo'Creatures mobs.

I have updated the mod to version 3.4.0, compatible with MC 1.2.4
Great News indeed! As a first time poster to the forums, I just wanna give a pat on the back not only to DrZhark, but all modders in general. Without them, vanilla would be a hard place to keep one's interest on it's own...
Now I'm back to work on those snakes!
I think the snakes will be a great addition to Mo' Creatures. Seeing as I myself own actual snakes, it will be interesting to see how they turn out...
Thanks again DrZhark!

It is better to be quiet and let people just think you're stupid, rather than open your mouth and remove all doubt!
1. Throw "CustomMobSpawner 1.4.2.zip" into your ".minecraft/mods" folder **Note: MagicLauncher will say "No Mods Found" (it's works anyways)
2. Throw "MoCreatures.zip" FROM INSIDE the "DrZharks MoCreatures Mov v3.4.0.zip" file, INTO your ".minecraft/mods" folder.
3. Throw the resource folder FROM INSIDE the "DrZharks MoCreatures Mov v3.4.0.zip" file, INTO your ".minecraft" folder, overwrite/copy and replace ALL (WinXP / Win7)
***MagicLauncher Part***
1. Open MagicLauncher
2. Click Setup
3. Click "Add" on the right side and add "GuiAPI-0.14.1-1.2.4.zip" to the list.
((( Make sure ModLoader, ModloaderMP (if you have it) , AudioMod, and MinecraftForge are at the top of the list. In that order to be safe. )))
4. You should now see at the bottom of the MagicLauncher the "External Mods" section.
MAKE SURE THE CHECKBOX BY THE ACTUAL WORD "External" IS CHECKED.
5. Now also make sure both CustomMobSpawner and MoCreatures (The two mods you should see in this section) are also checked.
I have updated the mod to version 3.4.0, compatible with MC 1.2.4
Now I'm back to work on those snakes!
Thank you SO much for including the suggestion thread, now more people will be able to find it. It had already gotten at least 155 votes and well beyond 1,000 views. I can only imagine how well it will do now. I have some good plans to keep it fresh, and I'll be trying to give you the best sense of what your mod's fans are interested in.
You should only need to have one copy, put inside your resources folder
also yes i have installed audio mod

This made it work for me.
Note: I seem to crash when I load Wireless Redstone with MoCreatures. Just a note.
