That may be my problem too. My FPS is in the 50-70 range (occasionally dropping to 15ish briefly) , but I am also streaming yo twitch (using OBS), and that may be causing the FPS loss... when I don't stream I typically break 100... but in either case (streaming or not) I stutter a bit every now and then (mini-freezes, and sometimes not even mini ones). BTW: (I know this off-topic, but it's on the topic of stutters/fps).. does anyone else have stutters/freezing and inventory glitches with InvTweaks for 1.6.4? It's driving me buggy... but so does playing without it
I'm not the same guy, but I use Intel/Nvidia combo on my laptop and notice so fps hits in MMC too... just chalked it up to too many mods (112 at last count) and kept going...
Alright so this isn't really a bug but more of something Intel/Nvidia does
There is a feature for Nvidia GPU's called Optimus. What it does is determines if you really need to run that program on the GPU. The way it figures this out is it has a pre configured list of processes by name that it uses to determine if it goes on the GPU or the Intel CPU.
You can do one of three things to solve this problem because multimc.exe isn't one of the names on that list.
You can rename multimc.exe to minecraft.exe (It then gets flagged as a process to run on the GPU
You can add multimc.exe to the Optimus list (You'll have to find it yourself in the settings)
You can turn off Optimus (Again you'll have to find it yourself)

The error said that it failed to download stuff; it can't run if it does not download necessary stuff. Make sure your internet connection is good, other than that, can't really help you.
Also, include more info as to what you were trying to do. Nothing in the basic use of multimc uses Forge or FML by default. Saying that you were trying to start an instance with forge installed or something would have been a good idea...

the launcher is looking for scala-library.jar and bcprov-jdk15on-148.jar.
The problem is that the owner(s) of the site http://files.minecraftforge.net have changed this files to stash files
so now they are called scala-library.jar.stash and bcprov-jdk15on-148.jar.stash.
put this files into your lib folder and change their names to what you need (remove the .stash at the end)
You will get a message that the extension will change, but you can ignore that.
If you now start the launcher again, It will already find the files and it wont try to download it anymore
So you're ready to play (this worked for me anyway)

But, nobody has really addressed it. What I mean is when you add a non-steam game to steam, it asks you for parameters to launch it. Now other launchers (Default Minecraft, FTB, Magic Launcher) all run on Java so it's no problem doing this:
If you're wondering, the rest of the Target line is this:
Problem is, again, those all run fine with -jar like that. But, when you replace Minecraft.exe with MultiMC.exe:
Now I don't expect any changes anytime soon because I'm suspecting that MultiMC doesn't launch in java because its a C program, but if there's a workaround anybody can come up with, me and the other's listed above would thank you deeply!

MultiMC 5 is fantastic as i have a 1.6.4, 1.7.2 and a 1.6.4 forge instance; and its so much easier to use than the new launcher mojang put together (its not terrible but when it comes to modding, its a little annoying as you can only have 1 forge instance). So if anybody hasn't done a spotlight/tutroial on its new features yet, i'll do one for you.

You can, but you might wait tell it's actually out
update ?
I dont know if im already updated, and your signature link does not inform the version number for that file.
I dont even know what version you guys are on because none of your files have version numbers.
This is why I requested a version number to be placed on the zip files.
Even if its not hardcoded within the application, a simple number on the actual ZIP file,
would just give people some information, informing them if you updated or not.
or even as much as a date of last modified, that would inform people when was the last time the file has been modified.
Because if i would of seen that there was a newer version, I would of just updated automatically.
:/
I agree there should be a date or a version number on the files, even if not in the mutlimc itself, it would help us determine if we have the latest...
I just updated.
Why am I now getting a nag screen expressing my JVM Manual info I have.?
It says it will keep nagging me until I remove my Xms and Xms and PremaSize data I have placed in the previous version of MMC...
it nag every time I start MMC and also when I select a instance to play.
so its twice the time of it nagging me of my data input of JVM Memory data that I need to place.
It also gave me a nag screen to select which java I want to use with a list of 9 different ones.
and I had no clue which one to pick. both in iterations of x32 bit and x64 bit.
Due note, previous version of MMC never did this.
UPDATE:
I just reverted back to (MultiMC 5 - tb9) which is MMC v5.0.0.0,
because MMC v5.0.0.46 giving way too many problems, and freezes up my minecraft drastically,
to the point that I can not use my miencraft let alone my computer..
I dont know if its a memory leak of some sort from mmc.
Plus all the nag screens just pushed me over the edge to revert back to (MultiMC 5 - tb9)
where I am having no problems like this. and only has that one mod naming glitch.
ill on tb9 for a bit.

That was the solution to people who couldn't figure out how to set java, look at the path and pick whichever is the best. Also you should probably uninstall old java installations. They are bad to keep on your system when they aren't used.
I also take it you are storing your files weird. It only asks once.
