No problem. Its a simple code that can be applied to countless needs. No doubt that it is everywhere.
My main problem with mediafire, though, is that it always has a popup for me. It makes me distrustful of it.
Off topic...Why do you center and bold all your comments? It was odd the first time, then you kept doing it. I don't have a problem with it, it's just that it is different (not that that is bad XD (oh and epic avatar)).
So that people can easily differ my text from others and ad blocker my friend... It's an amazing thing. :biggrin.gif:

Lol That is true. I've read many complaints about mediafire though so not everyone has an ad blocker. After using adfly for a lil while now, it fills me with joy to see the amount of money I've made go up by fractions of a cent. It makes me feel important. :smile.gif: (I'm lame I know)
Updated the 2KB MC portable-izer. Parts of it are now drastically faster. (The first time running those parts may still be slower, but after that it should be faster.)
Have a nifty tool you love but can only be used with .minecraft in APPDATA? Want to use it with a .minecraft on your flash drive or another location?
I want to make that happen. I need you to tell me what you want to be portable though.
NOTE: These are not the tools themselves (except in the cases of the MC Portable-izers and the Appdata Opener). These just enable the tools to be portable.
1KB MC Portable-ized Launcher
This will run minecraft using a .minecraft folder in any location. It can be on a usb, a network, a desktop, ANYWHERE.
Just put it and the normal MC launcher in the .minecraft folder desired. Run the batch file to play.
The commands in the picture above are the only commands within the file. The file makes your computer think APPDATA is the folder containing ".minecraft" then runs the normal MC launcher that is in ".minecraft". "pause" is there only so that I could take a screenshot of the program before it closed.
2KB Advanced MC Portable-ized Launcher v1.1.0
v1.0.1 drastically speeds up parts of the launcher.
This version of the MC launcher does several things:
Runs MC using the portable .minecraft
Copies a .minecraft to APPDATA
Runs MC using .minecraft in APPDATA
Copies .minecraft from APPDATA
Deletes .minecraft from APPDATA
Opens APPDATA
Opens the portable .minecraft
Each feature is optional, too. (The features are still there. You just decide whether or not to use them.)
Just place this and your Minecraft.exe within the desired .minecraft folder. The location of this folder can be anywhere.
The file will pause after an option has been completed. Then after a key is pressed, it will return to the menu.
Using this tool's features can reduce lag that could be caused by the 1KB Luancher.
Enjoy!
1.1.0 - http://adf.ly/3sdlE
-added two functions to open APPDATA and the portable .minecraft
1.0.2 - http://adf.ly/3qw2K
-fixed a bug that deleted the portable .minecraft folder instead of the one in APPDATA
1.0.1 - http://adf.ly/3q3rt
-made the copy functions copy only newer files to speed up the process
1.0.0 - http://adf.ly/3mcRx
-initial release
Appdata Opener
This tool simply opens your Appdata folder. It is very useful on computers where access to Appdata is restricted (or supposed to be anyway lol). Its simple single line of code requires that explorer.exe be in the system root folder. Almost every PC is setup this way so that is nothing to worry about.
Enjoy!
This simple little file portable-izes the popular and widely used tool INVedit by copyboy. There isn't much to say about this nifty tool.
Just place the file and your innermost INVedit folder within the .minecraft folder desired.
Enjoy!
This will allow BuildCraft Template Manager by BloodyRain2k to be run using any .minecraft folder desired.
The current version of PBCTM is for BCTM v1-11. To update PBCTM, simply right click on it,click edit, and replace the old version number with the new one. I will try to update PBCTM as BCTM gets updated, but no guarantees. I will also try to make PBCTM compatible with any version of BCTM.
Place both PBCTM and BCTM in the desired .minecraft folder then double click PBCTM to run.
BCTM must be downloaded from BloodyRain2k's BCTM topic.
The above tells your computer that APPDATA is the current directory. It then runs BCTM from within the .minecraft that PBCTM is in. Pause is there so that I could take the screenshot before it closed.
Portable-ized Mace
This will allow the glorious Mace random city generator by Robson_ to be used with any .minecraft folder.
Download Mace from the topic linked to in the above line. Unzip Mace then do as follows:
Put the innermost mace-<version> folder and PMace inside your .minecraft folder. Double click PMace to run.:smile.gif:
The above code sets your APPDATA as being the actual folder containing .minecraft. It then opens .minecraft, opens mace-<version#> (the version does not matter), then runs Mace. The resulting save file will be in the save directory within .minecraft. Enjoy!
Portable-ized Teeth Of Time
Similar to the other pieces here, this portable-izes Commander Keen's Teeth Of Time.
Download TOT from the above link. Unzip it then place the unzipped TeethOfTime_<version> folder and the PTOT batch file in your .minecraft folder. Double click PTOT to run! Enjoy!
When requests are made, I will work as soon as I can to make them portable.
These are only for Windows. Mac and Linux users I'm sorry. If I learn to do this on those systems then I will try to.
Some of these codes can be found across the internet. I just make them easily accessible.
I have no problem with you editing my code for your own needs either.
P.S. If you decide to read the comments then please read for a little while: conflicts were resolved.
P.P.S. I'm sorry if the pictures are not convincing. They show my files in action and that is all. If you would like more then make a video please :smile.gif: Sadly I am unable to do that.
Dude I just got the best idea. I haven't worked out all the details yet, but I think that I could incorporate all of your little scripts here as add-ons for my portable launcher. What you've got going on here is wonderful, don't stop! I'll PM you with more details later.

Sounds great! I'm thinking about making a simple all-in-one portable-izer for MC and all the tools I've done this with. It won't be hard to do, just a simple menu system. Sound good?

Also, a new poll is up. Be sure to vote and let your opinion known.
Dude I was looking at MACE and saw that you portablized it. Congratz. Now I don't have to go through all the work of portablizing it myself! =D

Thanks! I'm glad you think so. I'll do it as soon as I have a chance. (Hopefully tonight.)
