Why after I install and uninstall version 1.7.1 version, and then installed 1.0.3 anew I stopped it contain? Appears for an instant process and disappears ...

Make high-quality models in the Techne. And do the model in Blender.
I have set an image overlay, however I need to adjust it's placement as I increased the map size, making it reset the image overlay. Is there a way to go about doing this? I haven't been able to find anything related to Image Overlay modification, sadly.
open view > configure view
That's where you can change some settings for the image overlay. Assuming you just added tiles in worldpainter, a tile is 128*128, so if you remember how many tiles you added in which direction, multiply that by 128 and use those numbers for the offset, and everything should be nice in sync again.
Thank you, sir, and if I'm not mistaken, thank you for the amazing tree models to use as well!
I'm sure I'm just looking in the wrong place but is there a way to make a custom layer like the mesa where stained clay is layers/placed at certain depths. I would like to make my own layers like this but cannot figure out how. The closest I've figured out is by combining blocks in the custom terrain field but it just creates a scattered effect.
I would also to be able to add flower forests and they are not currently in the biome list. I don't mind making it myself but how would I go about this.

Use the custom underground layers. Before 1.7 that is what I did. Each layer needed it's own underground layer. As for the flower forest it is a variant of the forest biome, so click that check box under the biomes.

If you're refering to the underground pockets layer, yes it is still an option, and it still works. Put everything full intensity related to spawnrate. It's just, you'll probably run out of custom layer space rather quickly, and it's a lot of work for a pretty minor pay off, unless you do it for a really large area. It's definatelly possible, not very fiable though. That is if you want to do more then 5 soil layers, hardly worth the time. Ow yeah, you can't make them overlap.
Hmm it doesn't seem like it can do what I need it to in that case. Thanks for taking the time to try and help me out, much appreciated.

No, not yet. I am planning to make that an option for custom terrain types (adding a "layered" option to the current "noise" and "blobs" option).

Flower Forest is in the biomes list (just click the Biomes button, click on the Forest biome and then on the "variant" checkbox), but I suspect that you do not actually mean the biome list, I think you mean the layers panel, right? I will probably add some way to natively add Minecraft 1.7 flowers in the future, but right now the easiest way (especially for two-high flowers) is to use a Custom Objects Layer in combination with Lentebriesje's default trees pack (which contains all the new vegetation from Minecraft 1.7, including all the flowers), which you can download here.
my tablet dont have a Eraser head, so I cant use the inverse of the current tool, can you add some shotcut key, like press "x" to inverse the function of current brush?
That makes sense, I'll include something like that in an upcoming release.
World Painter is screwing with me right now. I'm trying to flatten an area, but WP keeps doing weird stuff.
I think your problems stem from using a non-solid brush, in combination with trying to make very small (1 block) height adjustments, and/or not clicking on a block which is at the height you want. If you want to completely raise (or lower) an area to a particular level, you really should be using a solid (constant) brush, without feathered edges, and set the intensity to 100%. That will instantly set the entire area to the same level as where you click. If you did that and experienced a different result I'm afraid the most likely explanation is that you did something wrong...
If you're sure that's not the case, please send me a .world file and instructions to replicate the problem.

I think you're saying that you installed and uninstalled version 1.7.1 of WorldPainter, and then installed version 1.0.3 of WorldPainter, and now it won't start any more? That makes sense, WorldPainter does not support downgrading. However, you may be able to get it to work by deleting WorldPainter's config file (%APPDATA%\WorldPainter\config, assuming you're on Windows).
Why do you want to use version 1.0.3? WorldPainter 1.7.1 is fully backwards compatible with it, I can't think of any reason why you'd want to use such an ancient version!
So I will be in Edinburgh this Christmas through New Year's Eve. I'm looking for people (of drinking age ;)) to hang out with! Is anyone here from Edinburgh?

I figured it out from your help. Thank you very much, I know you are busy and my dumb questions aren't helpful. Can't wait for future updates, I love this program.

I'm still having the problem, and I wouldn't think it would be a problem with the file. Every world I try it on, no flattening is working. It doesn't matter what brush I use. I believe the solid circle provided by the default WP is the cause of the problem. A few days ago, I was using the solid circle brush, and it flattened as it was expected. But then, I tried smoothing out the sides, but that wasn't working. After that, everything with flattening just seems to not work. Sometimes when I click on level 62 to flatten, it flattens level 61, but most of the time it just doesn't work.
If you tell me a website or something to upload files to the internet safely without needing an account, I would be happy to upload my .world file. I don't really like to make accounts on very many things.

That's up to you, I don't care. Just use a file sharing site of your choice. If the file is small enough you could even email it.
Have you guys checked out this map of middle earth? http://middle-earth.thehobbit.com/map
I was looking at it and found that they used a lot of my world painter brushes:
I used gimp to overlay some of them and they all match:
Ok, something really weird just happened. I started WP and the flattening tool and such wasn't working, then, I must of clicked on something that just fixed it randomly.
I am using your program to create a very large world for a server I am starting up. I would like to know if there is anyway to dedicate more RAM to the program in order for me to create a 20,000 x 20,000 map. I know, it's larger than the program should be able to handle. I just wanted to ask you if there was any possible way that I could do this if I dedicated more memory to the program, as I get an error every time I attempt to create a map larger than 10,000 x 10,000. My processing power should be more than enough to handle the rendering. I think the real issue is that the program is only using 1gb of my memory. Please get back to me as soon as possible. This is a very large project and I don't know what I can do without your help! Another small question about the ore generation: is it similar to ore generation in default minecraft (does it generate ores in veins or does it just scatter them as a random percentage one after the other)? Thank you for taking time to read my post! Like I said, I can't do this without your help!

I think that I'm the only person on these forums to have the syndrome. if anyone else has it,
let me know
