Any idea which files to delete? I need to delete my map's 1.1 files, because when I get my map rendered on the website, it always just shows the progress we completed in 1.1, nothing shows up from 1.2.3 and I've seen a few 1.2 maps go through
Sorry for the lack of response over here. I haven't been getting notifications for these posts so I didn't think anyone has been posting here...
Please post in the support forums on the Minecraft World Map website if you need help as I check those every day and you will get a response very quickly.
Oh and we're updated to 1.2 NOW!
Since Tectonicus wasn't updated I had to rewrite the entire rendering backend to use overviewer and it was the best thing to happen. A map that was 130MB used to take about 6 hours to render and now gets rendered in about 40 minutes! Wait times should be greatly decreased now that this is operational.
This site is not going anywhere! I will be around for as long as Minecraft is around!

Go into the regions folder and delete the .mcr files. These are backups of the old MCRegion files. The .mca files are the new Anvil format.
Ok so it's been four days and my map still is rendering. I posted on the help forums and got no response. Is the site just total fail now? Guess I'll have to render one myself and get it to my players somehow :-/
I replied to you in less than 24 hours?!?!?! Be patient my friend...
MY map rang up as complet download but when I looked at it it said INCOMPLETE DOWNLOAD HELP!
If your map is saying it's incomplete then you might be missing a screenshot, title or description. All of these are required before it goes into the render queue.
This is pretty cool, but it's not quite what I'm looking for. Does anyone know if there's a program similar to Cartograph (which was discontinued over a year ago)? I am looking for a pretty simple map renderer that doesn't require using a web browser to view the maps. I just want it to spit out a huge image file that I can load up in Photoshop. Posting here because... I don't know where else to ask.

Third... Is this still running? (Is this service still available)
Forth... Is there a size restriction to the map? ( would like to load a server map on here to view it)
Lastly... Is is current with the 1.4.5 minecraft update.
Thank you for you time
Hey,
Sorry for the delayed response. I'm not on these forums much as running minecraftworldmap.com does take up a lot of time so I tend to keep support on the forums there.
The service is still running and I kept it up to date with the latest 1.4.5 version of Minecraft. There is a 1GB upload limit.
The site has been upgraded to 1.8 for a while now. I haven't been around the forums much so this thread sort of died.
Anyway come on out and check out the new site layout. I tried to design it with other devices in mind so you will have a better experience using your phone or tablet.
It took me 1 and a half weeks to pass through the 49 pages it took me to post my 46 MB map

It's open to the public now. Just visit the website http://www.minecraftworldmap.com
I think mcmap does this but it's slightly lower quality. Very fast mapping tool though.

The site has been updated to include support for the new 1.10 blocks.
I'm also looking for some people to beta test and provide feedback on a new blockview feature which really allows you to view the world.
Try it out here: http://www.minecraftworldmap.com/worlds/vxm4k/voxel
