Well it looks like it'll actually be tomorrow from today, sorry! Weekdays are hectic for me, I apologize. I've also been told the DL isn't working, I'll have to fix that as well
phew. It's 10 o'clock on a sunday, but the update has been released! The ISP tried to keep me down, but it couldn't! Well, it did slow me down a day. I apologize the update is so late. The pack has obviously been on a bit of a hiatus. However, I have arranged my day to spend more time on it, so let's hope updates come out every week, instead of every other month. So without further ado, the features!
Record music
If you made it through the list of features, I'd like to say that we have more sounds that will soon be in the update, and that'll come soon. But for now, enjoy techno and 40's, my brothers!
Please tell me if something isn't working

Thanks for informing me, dropbox seems to keep changing the way you post public links. The other two links were not put up by me, so I can't fix them right now...
Aaaaaand thanks to the buggy topic editor that broke the last post, the topic now looks horrible. It's sort of fixed, back in BB Code format, but I'll have to clean up tomorrow.
Edit: the download is fixed now though, right? I'm 90% sure the dl is fixed. Technology doesn't always love me...

Don't worry I just downloaded the update. BTW nice techno.
Hey I made some potential chain mail armor. Keep in mind they're both serious WIP's so they're missing some elements including the 'wear and tear' that I intend to put in a bit later. There are two versions. what do you guys think so far?

I Like the SWAT armor, but with the language pack it's supposed to be "infected armor". I remember someone said that the chainmail as infected limbs, chest, etc., was supposed to add some variation to the zombies and armed mutants (skeletons). Still, your texture could be used for The End Is Extremely Vanilla, and until someone makes or finds the infected textures, it's all we have.

thats true however it wasn't official, or by the original creator. I think this would make more sense because you can buy it from villagers, and selling rotting body parts is usually bad for business. still tho, up to the current makers.
Also if anyone wants to give me any input on the progression of this armor I'd definitely love to hear it

The chainmail is an undecided texture as we can not seem to reach a general consensus on what it should be.
On another note, I do not believe that it should be a SWAT Jacket, based purely on the fact that this pack does not show any extreme affiliation with any real world organizations or combat units. A simple set of riot gear would work.A set of riot gear would look very nice.
But remember that is offers less defense than the randomly scavenged military gear that you can find.
So it's hard to pin down a great idea for a texture. Community ideas welcome!
Yeah I wasn't so sure about the "SWAT" part either. However, I did make it with the intention of it being one step below military, and I think it will fit that better once I add some degradation and detail to it. The version I posted is the clean one. If anybody would be willing to stylize it to better fit the apocalyptic feel of the pack that would be much apprecciated. Otherwise I can do it myself.
On another note, proposed Ideas:
Camping mod support
Highlands mod support
Mutant creatures mod support
Chain could also be construction worker or football player gear
Maybe animated diamond tools?
Pigsas Wild boar
Chest GUI could actually look like a top-down shot of an open chest without the grid
Thats all I have right now. Great job on the pack btw, cant wait for the next update. Anything major completed yet?
Well, if you want something that is hard to find, can only be bought from villagers (or scavenged from mobs) and offers a low endurance, I have some ideas.
- Torn or worn police gear. Basically some normal cop/police force clothing with a touch of padded protection like knee pads, elbow pads, and maybe a strong pair of boots.
- Scavenged Armor. Although it is, I am talking about something that a scavenger could build. Maybe some makeshift armor made out of metal plates, spare strips of leather, and maybe even some patchwork clothing.
- Camping Equipment. It seems like "camping" could be a recurrent theme in this resource pack, with several things relating to the subject like the bed texture. Anyway, I was thinking of just a normal jacket, some rough jeans, maybe a buff and some hiking boots. Camping would seem reliable in the world this resource pack depicts (you would get away from major population centers and move towards the outskirts or even to the wilderness to avoid infection).
I also have a good idea for the pack. You could work more on the GUI's of several things. I don't know if these were or are implemented (I can't remember) but here is a rundown of the idea: Stove GUI can depict a stove, Crafting GUI can depicts a workbench, inventory depicts some sort of backpack.

I actually really like all of these ideas. Especially the camping stuff. If the chain was like camping gear, it could look like the leather armor in Rust. A red jacket, torn jeans, boots, and a black beanie.
On another note, I added detail to the riot gear. It still needs some dirt and breaks tho. How do you guys like it?
I got NOTHING productive to add to the conversation: I just want to thank you all for bringing back my hands down favorite texture/resource pack. I'm anxiously looking forward to future updates.
Keep up the good work lads! My survival island shelter is looking incredible because of your work!
Here, I made a small album with some temporary textures. This includes the Double grass, the double fern, Podzol, and a lighter more visible version of the riot gear. If you want to use any of these please feel free, I'd love to contribute.
Alright!

Yep the download give a 403 error.
Never mind it's fixed now.
