For your side grass, I think you need to make the actual grass bit darker towards the bottom and maybe lighter towards the top-middle as well. It helps bring out the shadow on the dirt (I couldn't see it at first glance) and adds more depth to the texture.
@13thMurder
I don't know what your old planks were, but I like them now. You really nailed the colour; it deviates from plain brown nicely without being overpoweringly pink.
So beautiful, and yet so apocalyptic! Are you doing this to all of the planks?
Completely overhauling them? Yep.
Not sure if i will be giving them all vertical ctm like that though, since it's not so great for roofing and stairs and such. If only stairs could be textured by themselves...

Yes they can!
use the Block format and you'll have to figure out which metadata deals with what orientation. But it's 0-7, one set of 4 for the direction of the normal stairs and the other set of 4 for the 'upside-down' stairs.
I think the data values are 53 for Oak, 134 for Spruce, 135 for Birch, 136 for Jungle, 163 for Acacia, and 164 for Dark Oak.
I made the furnace better by moving the wooden pieces one pixel in so it works with the furnace/dispenser/dropper side, I also remade the dispenser and dropper textures and I made a brick texture.
Finished up those stone bricks. The moss is heavily inspired by Chivalry. I also have some oak wood planks with horizontal/random ctm. Needs some touching up.
Perhaps try making the colours lighter and more saturated.
Well the file is already this
Just remember it's also been made transparent so you can see through it. It be a bit more hastle then I;d like, and also not look right to have some areas more transparent then others. I mimiced the water reflection, not going for exact color. That photo is from a swimming pool
Ahh, there's plenty of cool things on this page I don't want to quote everyone to say how much I like it.
Do have a question for goodlyay though - any eta on a download? Really looking forward to using that pack, it's way different from pretty much all other 16x packs (and even above) that I've seen.

I have quite a ways to go before I complete even the terrain. However, I could give you an "indev" download of it, so to speak, if you want to try it.
I think it needs to be more saturated, there should be some of the sand below showing through but only a bit.
I am failing to understand what you are talking about with the sand bit. The texture in game is partly transparent. It is not solid, so you can see everything though it as snown in the in game screen shot.
Ie the blocks you see in said shot, IS the sand...
Thats the water image with no transparency to show off the animation. You quoted the in game shot that does have transparency and you can see the sand through it.. so I really don't have any clue what you're talking about regarding the sand.
Also again, the ref image was taken from a swimming pool. I only wanted the water 'webbing' look, not exact color.

More of that vertical-repeat ctm.
I was going for something rather art nouveau, but it came out looking more western style. Oh well.

Hope this helps!
The brick texture took a while to make.

Going for this kind of effect:
Maffhew

Send me a PM or something if you don't what the feral hordes of the TAU to get at it too.
