They look nice, not sure how well the rings of ore would work but the textures themselves look quite nice. Only one I'm not keen on is the texture in the top left, seems shaded wierdly - maybe it's just me though. Well done if it's your first go
Thanks! I made the ores look like that so that they could be used as decoration, and so that if you find some in a mine, you get the impression that you stumbled upon some ancient artifacts.
Made some dirt, grass, and grass side. Wanting to go for a bright texturepack that mostly uses pixels and patterns in tile designs.
There's a difference between bright and eye-hurting.
I suggest toning down the colors a wee bit. they are a bit of an eyesore right now.
Otherwise, the texture is very nice. I love the style!
I'm pretty sure it has to be in a .zip file, but correct me if I'm wrong.
Also, what's in the last folder?
Nope, it doesn't have to be a zip file. In fact, if you leave it as a folder, you can press F3+T in-game to refresh the textures. That way, you can test textures without having to constantly close and reopen the game.
Windows added a .txt file extension to the end of your pack.mcmeta. Turn of that feature in your folder options, and leave the file extension as .mcmeta.
Swamp biome specific weeping willows. They're actually oak trees, just... willows now. Swamp vines as well.
Tons of ctm here. The willow leaves are a 256x repeat ctm with vertical support as well (so basically, vertical ctm that repeats in sets of 4 tiles horizontally) the vines use vertical ctm, as do the trunks of the trees... there's moss at the bottom.
Also, i used a blank tile as the bottom side of the willow, so it appears that the leaves only appear in strands down the side. The blocks don't have bottoms.
There is a bunch of lichen hanging off those vines, which you can't really see right now, but when i add swamp grass, it will stand out more against it, because swamp grass will be darker. I'll make swamp dirt into mud as well...
I've decided what my last plant will be as well: Doll's eyes.
13th, you are amazing. Your pack is going to be an amazing guide to biome-specific CTM!
And that plant at the biome is utterly horrific if you forget that it's just a plant. What will it be the texture for, by the way? Poppy? Syringa?

Not too sure yet. I don't really like the branches on my blue orchid plant, and i've discovered that blue orchids grow in swamps (seemingly exclusively) so i was thinking of cutting the branches off my current orchid texture, and giving it new stems, then repurposing it as the azure bluet (or whatever it's called, it's my last vanilla plant) then giving the doll's eyes the blue orchid's spot, since i think it would be a rather nice swamp addition. Or maybe i'll make it a poppy. I don't know if i have a poppy texture... i'll have to check on that. Unless that's what roses were changed to?

In-game, roses are now called poppies and re-textured as such. However, the texture file is still called "flower_rose".

I would like to join. I'm a relatively new textureist and I could use the feedback and suggestions for developing my packs.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I don't care, I'm pissed off about you all treating criticism like god instead of seeing it for the douche, behavior it is to others, If I want to post again I could go to my friends house and make another account, I'm leaving MC forums along with the rest of Thok Ownage because we will be on PMC again.
Next post starts a new page!
Mmmmmm. Nice! The embedding on the ores are very contrasted compared to the stone, but I guess there's nothing to do about that...
Could we see some in-game pics?
That is all I have. Is that wrong?
You've got no pack.mcmeta!
Create a new text document in the root folder, copy this code, and rename it to "pack.mcmeta":
That glass is totally from mine

Thank you so much!
Here's a screenie:
Is that folder named ".." needed for something?
Thats just to go back a folder in his archive program I believe.

The last folder just has some bucket-fill bricks until I get it to work in-game.
EDIT: Thank you Samo, that has fixed it.
