I like how I'm still not in the list of members after being a member for like 2 years.
By the way, seeing as you're here, can you put my name in the list of members? It's been like 18 months since I joined the TAU
I'm... Not seeing an application in your post history. Perhaps you could provide me with a link? Or anyone else who could find it?
Also, it hasn't been two years since you joined the forums. It has been approximately 1 year, 2 months, 28 days, 17 hours 18 minutes 14 seconds since you joined on July 30th, 2012. Have you lived former lives? O_o
In all honesty though, you have been a big help around here, especially with CTm (and especially for me since I have such a difficult time with CTm...)

Those logs are really really good. Designing a log_top isn't as easy as it looks, and I love your swirly solution. Did you intentionally left out the black spots on birch? Also I like the trees, leaves and grass.
It's a splendid pack over all, however that sand block, big no. It's waaay to sharp. It looks like rock with a pattern that is too and repetative, almost metal.
So, I decided to finish my widgets for Definitance. What does everyone think?
That language button is really good. I'm not a fan of using bricks though. Even though the bricks themselves look good, I don't think they fit on a menu button.
I think both look good, even the inwards facing stone. The first is a little more personal, while the other is general solid, works with everything kind of block. I'd say, go for the one that fits your personal idea of the pack.
@Meapers,
Is your Jungle Tree .. uh.. some kind of bricks?
Dark oak looks like magic. I like it.
Thanks
Hah, no its not. Thats what I meant that some need more work than others. I was trying to make less of an edge to the jungle trees because they are 2x2 most of the time.
After taking a long break from texturing, MONTHS...completely stopping texturing completely, I decided to give it another go. Brace yourselves, its been awhile.

That was one of the earliest things I did with Definitance, so it was probably more interesting and original at the time. I think it looks fine though, so I figured I'd improve on those, rather than making new ones.
I'm glad you like the lang button though.
(The land mass on that globe took me longer than I'd like to admit...)
Is it possible to get a glyph at a number not a power of two to function? I manually made a Super Mario 64 font by loading it on an emulator, and reading signs and menus to find every character in upper and lowercase, only to have it not work properly because they are on a scale of 12x12.

The birch was designed after I peeled away some bark from one of my trees, I liked the interior color better. I do agree with the sand though, the contrast is super high, I was going for a wavy sand, but it looks like diamonds of some material are embedded into it like a stone/metal. I need to soften it and lower the contrast. Also quick question: How do people do those cutaway views to compare two packs using the same screenshot?

Basically what'd you do is you'd take two screenshots from the exact same position and view angle, using the two different packs. Then, just layer one over the other in Photoshop or whatever.

I just tried making a font with 9x9 glyphs, and it worked fine. You should be able to do 12x12.

Any way of achieving it without messing up? My house has a high DPI, perhaps pressing ALT in game would freeze the screen for a perfect lineup?

Maybe you could try: Line up your shot, unplug your mouse (or flip the power switch, if you have a wireless) and take screenshot #1. Then press esc, turn the mouse back on, change the pack, and unplug the mouse again. Press esc and take shot #2.

Found it.

My guess is that it's too bright. But I can't really judge it if I don't know how the rest of your textures look like.

It fit's the rest of the pack, and the new one with thinner planks look better!
Are you saying that you will keep posting stuff that looks amazing and you don't even care if it takes time?
Well I can live with that! =)
Some need a little bit more work than others. It goes Spruce, Jungle, Birch, Oak, Acacia, and then dark oak, which is my favorite.
Still need to do the leaves and the planks.
EDIT: Does anyone know the new ID numbers or how to find them for the blocks. Trying to fix my CTM.
Thanks

Each glyph is 8x8 pixels.
Dang detective! How'd you find that? And why didn't it show up for me in post history? Weird...
That was 1 year, 1 month, 24 days, 22 hours, 32 minutes and 28 seconds ago. So, roughly 13 and a half months.
Nice find!
