For Synthetic Reality II (512x), I am making use of repeat CTM to its fullest extent. Although this will result in a massive file size, the resulting look in minecraft will be brilliant!
I deleted all of the previous work I had done in favor of starting fresh... again. I'll post some screenshots soon
Currently, I don't really see how vvarmachine is beneficial to texture artists. Because if the intent is to move the discussion of textures function of this thread over to vvarmachine forums, I'd say that would only decrease the audience we could reach (or we could post the same thing on both MCF and vvarmachine, but that's just adding more work.) If only the administration of TAU is moved over, then that would just make things confusing, opaque, and increase the barrier to entry.
I'd support having a branch at vvarmachine, but I'd much rather the main base of operations stay here.

This is the exact point I was trying to make with my post on the previous page.

"I'm an outsider by choice, but not truly.
It’s the unpleasantness of the system that keeps me out.
I’d rather be in, in a good system. That’s where my discontent comes from:
being forced to choose to stay outside.
My advice: Just keep movin’ straight ahead.
Every now and then you find yourself in a different place."

I agree, also why does vvarmachine have to do with texturing?
Also note that the system I'm having to temporarily use to make this pack is absolutely terrible (seriously, 2g of RAM!?)...it simply cannot handle anything above 6-chunk render on fast graphics in the snapshots.
Still better than mine. ;_;
I don't think that VVarmachine is really connected to texturing, per se, but it's definitely connected to the Union. They'll apparently be hosting our server from now on, and it seems like Doc is trying to get all his communities in one central place, which I don't mind. I don't think that all TAU activity will have to move over to VVar, because that would cause a horrible stagnation in membership. You'd already have to know about VVar to be able to find the Union, and that would be burying it too deep I think.
To me, what's going on here is reminiscent of what Google has going on with Youtube and Blogger and such and such as. It's all connected to one central hub site, but you can still just be part of one without having to involve any of the others. I, personally, probably won't be spending too much time on VVar, unless a sizable community pops up there.
Take in mind that this is just my perspective, I could be totally and completely wrong.
VVarMachine gathers the players of the games, and who better to include than those that develop changes for the games?
samohtj hit the nail pretty square on the head. VVarMachine and the TAU are two separate entities, but because of the resources and playerbase of VVAR we have more abilities to host and provide, such as the server, website, etc etc.
The main business of the TAU will continue on here just as it always has.
On another note, I must be doing something wrong. What is the data value for the grass side overlay and the dirt with snow block?

My computer, running on vista, has less than 2g of ram. Paint.NET freezing up when I open it sometimes, and sometimes just at random.

Sorry but Vista is pretty much a failure.. I experienced it a lot before. Vista crashes a lot. And 2gb of ram?
Can you play minecraft with that?
EDIT: Mine is bad too it's i3 1.8 ghz Ultrabook. With 32 GB SSD. Is not great either. But it never freezes and stuff. Good for a 500$ Ultrabook. But really it's not that good.(For specs) With intel hd graphics 4000 (Terrible GPU)

Yeah, but it's about the extent of my 3D gaming on PC.
Oh, and...
@Taiine
I actually like your voice. Doesn't sound too much like a 6 year old to me, but then again, I live in the country, so maybe that makes a difference.

I've got Windows XP, <2GB of ram. I can't run packs over 64x at all, even with tiny render distance. I tried to run Star-Made the other day because I heard it was cool, and I couldn't even get it to open. Can't play Skyrim, either, and I've had the disc for a year and half. It's been on my desk this whole time, taunting me.

Okay, I was just getting a little bit concerned looking at this.
Ah yeah, I will change that. I thought it would make it easier but I have realized that it simply adds an unnecessary step to getting the Union's protection.
I do encourage all of you though to check out what vvarmachine has to offer, especially the new server that is coming online

Thanks!
I love the body and limbs, very H.R. Giger/Alien looking.
But... are those shark teeth? The gums are really weird looking.
I love Giger so I always planned the Enderman to be in that style when i saw them, well spotted i was looking at pics of great whites!
The body won't change too much I will make the head more friendly though
