Hi guys
I'm sorry if I wasn't supposed to ask here, I haven't quite gotten the hang of these forums yet
I have some problems with the water texture
I edited the terrain.png water the water.png and even watercolor.png and yet the water still looks like default.
If anyone can help me I'd be extremely grateful : )

IIRC watercolour.png is hardcoded, but for the water in the terrain, you need to make sure your game is patched with MCPatcher for it to change.
I just went into MediaFire, and the latest version of my pack has 500 downloads!
I am absolutly gobsmacked.
The previous average of downloads per update is only EIGHTEEN!
Yet this is FIVE HUNDRED!
And only for MEDIAFIRE!
I'm pretty sure I'm now over 1000 total downloads :DDD

Hey, in case you don't follow the MCpatcher, Steel's or Misa's thread here is some info from the MCpatcher thread that may be of interest.
"Custom animations are read from these files, all in the root of the texture pack .zip:
custom_water_still.png, custom_water_flowing.png - still and flowing water
custom_lava_still.png, custom_lava_flowing.png - still and flowing lava
custom_portal.png - portal animation
custom_fire_n_s.png, custom_fire_e_w.png - the north-south and east-west sides of fire blocks, respectively custom_terrain_###.png - animation for any tile in terrain.png. ### is the tile index (0-255), not a block or item ID
custom_item_###.png - animation for any tile in items.png. ### is the tile index (0-255), not a block or item ID
Each image should be a vertical strip of separate frames. The width should match the tile size of the texture pack, but if it doesn't it will be resized to match. See this thread for a more detailed explanation.
Balthichou's RandomMobs mod is now included by default. You may include multiple skins for the same mob and the game will automatically pick one at random. Add a number to the end of the filename before the .png, e.g., /mob/creeper2.png. Start at number 2 and do not skip any numbers. For the wolf textures, make sure you include the same number of wolf, wolf_tame, and wolf_angry textures or it will look strange when a wolf changes moods.

Sorry but still...

*off to pull off some mad experimentation with tesla coils, grainy black and white, storms, the whole bit*
Wait.. a question also, does this also include other bits of the GUI (menus and such)?

(edit) Hey I earned a page :biggrin.gif:
Nah, according to the quote it only does it for the textures in the terrain.png & item.png.
EDIT: I was thinking that for most blocks, custom animations wouldn't add anything and only confuse the player, but this will be great for utilities such as the brewing stand and furnace!
Yeah, dragons look like a pain in the ****. ;_; I'm scared to even try to texture them, they're massivve. Couldn't even imagine texturing them in a higher resolution than 16.
Anyways, I...tried...64x..
Soul Eater, as always.

Oooh, custom terrain animation?
Honestly that doesn't strike in me the desire to make everything I can animated. Rather, the first and only thing I find myself wanting to do is give a soft flickering glow to my jack o lanterns.
I have no idea why the wooden posts the grapes are growing on are swaying so much...i think you should make it so that only the grapes and the leaves sway...
Yeah, it's probably a bit much, but an animated gif doesn't really do it justice, it actually looks pretty good in game.
Edit: Though I do enhance the quality in windows movie maker...

Always open to critique and suggestions. (:
They're supposed to be swaying in the wind, but it looks like they're dancing. (like some squares I could mention )
The HD patcher was recently updated and now supports animated textures.

I think it only does half of what I've heard, just animation. Didn't your mod also include the translucency variable?
(this is the missing key for some of the blocks to me)
(edit) *Double Kill*
I thought the big point of your mod was that blocks that shared textures got their own, among other things.
