Hey guys, i updated a particular set of the gerudoku alt mine tracks that i quite liked and added the booster tracks and pressure plates, mainly as i couldnt find anyone else thats done them yet.
I had to adjust the original texture by a couple of pixels so it lines up correctly, so heres the new/old tracks as well.
Let me know what you think.
Those edits are really, really simple...but god it makes them look awesome, I may have to use them

I really liked those rails originally and was surprised to see that no one updated them already, i might go back at some point and add a bit more detail but i wanted to see if they were interesting enough to work with.
Feel free to use them however you wish just drop me some credit :smile.gif:
Thought i'd give the shears a crack myself, i know there not proper sheep shears but i tried and couldnt get them to come out properly so knocked together a pair of garden shears instead.
I haven't been in here for a little while. Hello again! Krayloon, do you still need that texture? Well, even if you don't, here is the one I made. Feel free to use it.
Looks cool! maybe a bit too light I might edit it a little and post it if anything goods comes out of my edit.
After testing it out it seems like too much swirliness per block. When it is tiled there is too much going on. Could you make and edit where there is a reduction, hopefully you can understand what i am saying.

I like the idea of hedge clippers because cutting leaves and defusing TNT with shears would look quite odd. Don't ask me how/why shears can defuse TNT makes no sense to me, Mojang should just make it disable by hitting it a second time. Oh and it can be used for another secret block.
-edit-
The clippers were not rotated so I rotated them how shovels are (reversed to look more like a stab than a swing). Also made them a bit smaller while trying to keep original colors and feel.

Thanks for that, odd the things you forget to do when you get carried away :smile.gif:
Made a minor adjustment to sharpen the blades up a little.
Well, I have a request, can anyone make a good wheat texture? Mine are always terrible and look like there is some terrible blob coming out of the ground. Ive spent over a very long time just trying to make a wheat texture a week ago and ended up just giving up on it. All I need is the finished wheat, I can do the rest myself since that part is relatively easy. If no one is up to it, I'll be happy with some tips!
Ooh, what a lovely thread! I adore RPG packs. Mine is sort of going in that direction (check link in signature). Maybe it can be thrown up there as a darker RPG texture? It's still a WIP, but it's coming along.
You may notice some JohnSmith textures in a few of the photos showcasing the pack, but those are only placeholders for the unreleased texture pack. :smile.gif:

"This may hurt a little, but it's something you'll get used to...."
i was hoping to quickly ask a favor of anyone willing... people seem to have more trouble installing my pack then even with regular 32x32, and i think it is mainly pc users. i think due to my being on a mac, something weird happens to the files when downloaded to a pc. i have them packaged normally when seen on my computer, but others have said they see a mac folder and pc folder or something. Could anyone who's on a pc download it and lemme know what files they see? And if they are really really nice, tell me what they did to install it, so i can include instructions for pc? ik this isn't on topic, but i figured this was one of the best places to get an intelligent response in decent time.

I had a quick look and i think i can see your issue the zip file you have for download is a zip of the folder labelled Arcane pack v2.6 which also has a mac osx folder. This unfortunately puts the files one level deeper than they should be.
Try rezipping it but zip the actual files within the folder rather than the folder itself, that should sort it. I hope that makes sense.
Unfortunatly I think the piston is only going to use two textures.
Yeah its hard to say this early but from looking at the 1.7 pistons WIP vid thats the best i can determine, will obviously adjust accordingly once we know more, it was more for a general feel than anything.
Yes! But hopefully they don't look to much like scissors X)
I didnt make these but ive had them since before runesmith discontinued his 32x updates of various mods, in this case roundarounds pluck and shear.
Wood
Stone
Iron
Gold
Diamond

Here's my attempt at shears. It's not much but hopefully this can be used as a base for another better version.

Very nice, i like the top right one especially but maybe you could do an alternate with windows instead of the blue texture.
Unfortunately without knowing how the texture will be organized theres no way of aligning it but the textures shown are as follows from left to right.
Piston head (front & back)
Piston head (edges) + piston shaft
Piston block (sides)
Piston block (front & back)
I did toy with the idea of making the metal rivets on the piston head but thought it might look nicer if it would merge with normal wood blocks.
