Awesome! This will probably help me creating .psd templates for texture pack creation! I'll give you credit when I release my templates!
Thank you sooooooo much! You should add a link to download all the templates (as png) on adf.ly so I could support you in a better way.
I think I am going to start replacing the images on the main post with the 640 pixel wide versions, but have links to all of the files too. The Lava mob is added in my intended format.
While working on the Lava mob, I noticed that I forgot the hood/hat box for the Villager, working on adding it in now.
Wow, that was fast, I just requested this thread moved from modding discussion to texture discussion and now it is here.
Always glad to hear people finding it helpful, now maybe more people in need will be able to find it. Maybe eventually it will be found helpful enough to be considered sticky worthy.

It's probably cause you asked so nicely

Always used and loved these templates. Glad to see some one keeping them alive for those of use who reeeeeely need it
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
"This may hurt a little, but it's something you'll get used to...."
Dude I love you so much for putting all the time and research into making these.
I don't suppose you would mind if I used them to make some prettier SkinEdit templates sometime, would you? (The flat colors you used can be distracting when trying to skin so I prefer outlines when I'm actually in SkinEdit)

Go right ahead, and if you link to them, I will add the links on the first message.
Hm, I'm trying to figure out which section of the Enderdragon texture textures the tail and neck, and it seems that you don't have one for that... o:
Could you possibly point it our? Or does it just borrow the colors/texture for the tail and neck from some other section?
They are listed as "Spine Segment" (the main boxes of the neck and tail) and "Spine Plate" (the plate that sticks up out of the neck and tail segments.) The neck and tail use the same textures. They are rotated for the tail, the left sides of the boxes become the right sides of the boxes on the tail and the fronts of the boxes become the backs of the boxes for the tail.
I've updated the spoiler notes for the Enderdragon too.

Have Paint.NET .pdn file for it, planning on releasing .psd files later this weekend (my weekend is Sunday and Monday.)
Oh heck with it, here is the .pdn file, will get to making and releasing others this weekend.
