Unfortunately, in this forum, we're not really partial to default edits. I don't know about the main forum. But here's what I think: If you really wanted an ender crystal in creative, you could just use MCedit to get one in. In survival, beacons are really hard to get, so it would be impractical for there. I just don't really see the point.
A new person wants to show off an accomplishment. Nothing wrong with that, even if it is a bit silly for him to offer a download. Still, his first texturing project was an animation so that's at least a little bit praise worthy.
@RdManebog: Dragon is correct about us not liking default edits, though. Although it's admirable that you figured out the animation system in 1.5... it's still not all that special. Anyone with even a little experience can do this, and wanting the beacon to look like an enter crystal is pretty niche. I doubt there will be any interest.
A better idea, if you want to get some excitement for your work, would be do do your own textures from scratch. If you have real artistic skill, that will attract a following an make people happier than just using existing textures in an animation. Sorry to say.
I know you're excited about this, and it is cool in its own way, but you're really best off keeping it to yourself? Understand?

Also, the endercrystal can now be created using the /summon command in the newest snapshot.....
....so.... yeah.....

It’s the unpleasantness of the system that keeps me out.
I’d rather be in, in a good system. That’s where my discontent comes from:
being forced to choose to stay outside.
My advice: Just keep movin’ straight ahead.
Every now and then you find yourself in a different place."
