Help me OUT! I have unsticher then what do I do. I read some posts and they said put into jar file, did, then open it. I opened it and nothing happens. All I see for a slit second is the cmd box in the corner then gone and nothing happens. I don't know what to do!Also I can read the code and it says, "Error: Cannot Find or Load main class" ~My Location of file~

It doesn't matter where you put the unstitcher.jar-file.
1. Right-click it
2. Chose "open with..." --> "Java(TM) Platform SE Binary"
3. The program will automatically find your texturepack folder.
Doesn't work for me. Keeps giving me this error:Unstitching terrain.png...
Cutting out terrain 'grass_top' ...
Error unstitching file!

The unstitcher does not work for me. It says it has converted the pack, but nothing has changed. It says something along the lines of "terrain: nothing to do here" and "items: nothing to do here" in the log despite a textures folder not even existing.
I will be searching for an alternative until this is fixed :/

Yea, don't even bother with unsticher... its crap. Go download MCPatcher. That converter is much better, especially if you have a buncha animations!

I do prefer MC Patcher though I believe that I figured out the problem. to convert I needed to put everything in a .zip file, and when I did this I right clicked on my file folder containing the textures and zipped it. So when I opened the zip I found the folder containing textures first, not the contents themselves.
Just a minor error on my part and may solve others problems =_=
Not sure what others' issues have been here, but with a couple of clicks my old packs (1.4.7 mostly) now work with the latest update. Thanks very much for work on this!
Help! I am getting the same error as two other people in this thread, where it says something about duplicate textures. I took a screenshot, next to the unsticher window I put the texture pack I am trying to convert. As you can see, no duplicate grass_top.png......

Try to remove that image and run the stitcher without it.
When I remove the texture, it just says the same thing for the next texture it trys to convert. I removed THAT one, and it said the same about the next.
Put it wherever you want. Then, just double click. Select the texture pack you want to unstitch, and there you go.
Oh the problem was that it opened up win-rar when I doubleclicked... I never realised you could open it as another program.

It can be done, but you have to use this instead. Dinnerbone's unstitcher only works the one way.
Thanks bro
What is not working properly?
