Hello im new to making texturepacks and would like to get well known in the Mc texturing community like corner_g, minihilly, and peytonisgreat (to name a few) and i decided to start out quite ambitiously with a 32x fantasy/Rpg with a cartoony feel. please leave all comments below + tips,
thanks, Or1on.
You shouldn't make texture packs to get famous. But the textures looks good but the side grass needs more shading.
well im not doing it to get famous more along the lines of i like doing art and minecraft and want to return something to the MC community and get more noticed as i would like to feel as if im doing something for the community, and any tips for me??
and what saturation should i use for the grey scale for the grass to make it lighter?
Well, I don't think that Dokucraft's stone looks good as dirt, but the rest is alright. Make sure you credit Doku though.
(Also, since when am I considered to be "well known"? )
Edit: Also, I just remembered, I had a pack called Black Light over a year ago. I wouldn't use the name though, it makes it sound like an inverted default.

Those textures are actually really impressive! I'm liking them so far! The dirt does have a tiling error, though a minor one. On the top/bottom, there is a shine on all clumps in the one spot creating almost a line of light across. And vertically on the left/right, there is a straight line of dark pixels cutting into the second clump from the top, and the clump below it seems to go into it. If you made the line go all the way through and separate the clumps there, it should fix that, and if you add the shading to that small clump like the rest, it will stick out less.
My pickyness aside, it actually looks very nice! I like to see some talent occasionally.

Cool! Recognized!
I'm glad to hear I've inspired someone! Thank you, recognition is a nice feeling, especially in a group as large as the MC texturing community, so I can certainly understand that sort of thing being part of your motive! As long as you enjoy your work (for the most part. I know, fixing tiling sucks ), then you started on the right foot!
I can understand seeing peyton+corner_g as well-known; they have many packs, several tutorials, and they're active peeps in this community.
Me, though; that's rather random!
Ah, stop it you! You're just fine, and your W.I.P pack is evident enough.

all new blocks + stone
grass textures.
Glad to see you got rid of Doku's stone as a texture. The dirt looks good, but I feel that the sidegrass is too anti-alaised, it doesn't look good.
Also, now that I have a better look at the stone, isn't it from John Smith's pack? If so, you need his permission to use it.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
The official Bluebird continuation is underway! Please come and help keep the pack alive!
nope all these tetures were done by me, although Jhonsmith's was an inspiration for the stone as i was stuck on it, and what does anti-alaised mean??

Seems that way.
