Im currently making a texture pack, but knowing 1.3 will be aug 1st, i want to know how i can keep my old terrain.png, but add the new items to it. Any help, would be very, welcome, i am also using a mac and gimp to make it. P.S. Just incase your curious, the texture pack im working on, is a boggly woods texture pack, from paper mario the thousand year door.

You would just put the new textures on your old terrain.
I figured that was how but i have no idea, how to copy, from one picture and put it onto another (with gimp) and if you mean, just make the new ones on the existing, thats kinda hard for me, but if thats the only way then i suppose it will have to do.

Use Paint.net, you just open both terrains copy the new textures and paste them in the other terrain.
In GIMP,I usually just open my original terrain, then open the new terrain and make sure that I have my terrain on top. Then I use the ''Merge Down'' option. That will basically add the things to my terrain that weren't there before.
bro this is very confusing could you describe how to do this? i am terrible with things like gimp tat have lots of options and stuff sorry :c not to mention this is my first texture pack

You click the tab that says layers, and there sould be an option called merge down, or anchor layer.

Tell you what, here is a new tutorial:
1. Take your old terrain
2. Look where the blocks on the update's terrain are
3. Put your textures for the update where they are on the terrain.
