I guess if you don't mind the horrible interface, illogical shortcuts, and lack of ability to save files with full or partial transparency, then yes.

"I'm an outsider by choice, but not truly.
It’s the unpleasantness of the system that keeps me out.
I’d rather be in, in a good system. That’s where my discontent comes from:
being forced to choose to stay outside.
My advice: Just keep movin’ straight ahead.
Every now and then you find yourself in a different place."

Yayyy! Annother GIMPressionist on the forums! (Yes, it is almost time to activate the brain control feature of GIMP, and we will rule the world!!!!!)
Never! Us Paint.NETworkers will use our special epicosity lazer cannon to save the world!
Anyway, I heard of this great browser image editor that works just like Paint.NET. I forgot the name though...

General! The plans are meant to be a secret to outsiders! The Painter will hear of this...
Yeah, the new version is lame when it comes to saving. But it also came with a ton of brushes and brush dynamics, so I think it is worth it.
I disagree. Sure, the new stuff is nice and all, but when i can't just open a file straight up from windows, edit a few things, hit ctrl+s and be done with it, i'm out.
Matter of opinion of course, but unless someone finds a way to mod it back in, i'm not upgrading.
Could you please leave a link to it, if you know of one
thanks.

The newest version is pretty obtuse when it comes to the saving behavior.
...But that's just my opinion.
