Updated for 1.7.4 now. This includes changing all the item IDs to the new word format with give commands. Plus some swapping of biome direction and the Minecart with Command Block added.
You've put a lot of effort in it and it's (mostly) very thought through. I like the presentation, especially of the tools and and the armor.
But I've found some little mistakes and minor things you might want to check and maybe change:
- in the place of the minecart with furnace there is a minecart with hopper
- enderdragon flies loose and is mostly invisible because it is in the walls; could you "fix" it in place like you did with the other mobs?
- spawning of slime and magma cube changes your gamemode to survival
- wolves spawning in last mob compartement doesn't stop again and they trigger the pressure plate in the enderdragon booth; then you get transported to the ender dragon showcase every few seconds
- maybe put all the wood stairs next to each other for better comparison, also acacia and dark oak; same goes for slabs
- add glistening melon to food items chest (it is included in the alchemy chest, but you did double some other items too, so it should be fine. and better for comparison with normal melon.)
- cauldron with water doesn't have water in it. is it a fault of my resource pack, do you know the reason for that? (I didn't find it yet.)
- acacia and dark oak saplings missing from vegetation item chest
- armor: when stepping on the pressure plate, chain and gold armor replace your current armor it its slots, but the others only give you a set to put into your armor slots by hand. replacing the slots directly is cooler.
- gap between the biomes in biome presentation is dangerous when you don't take the walkway but rather just want to walk through the biomes on ground level. Maybe a covering layer?
- big firework rocket should stop upon returning to the particles room

Keep up the good work!
Hmmm
1. Thanks for the furnace Minecart thing. I must have missed that.
2. The Ender Dragon worked perfectly up until 14w02c. The Dragon cannot be obtained like the other mobs. I will have to find another fix.
3. Spawning Magma Cubes and Slimes is meant to change your game mode so that they come to you.
4. Wolves are meant to continually spawn in the last compartment. It's a little gimmick I made to fight the Wither.
5. All blocks are spaced out and labelled so you can see them from all sides. But I may do your idea.
6. Glistering Melon is in the alchemy chest where is belongs.
7. Cauldron with water does have water in it. Maybe it's your resource pack?.
8. I will have to add the saplings. I must have forgotten.
9. Clearing the armour out is definite bug from 14w02c. See - https://mojang.atlassian.net/browse/MC-44556
10. The gap between the biomes will stay for now. I prefer it.
11. I will change the big firework thing.
Load this map in 1.7.4 and try again.
If you want to see how the map is supposed to work, watch my tour video on the OP. Thanks for your input. Currently I am working on a very huge update and am not sure when I will get around to updating this map.
3. Spawning Magma Cubes and Slimes is meant to change your game mode so that they come to you.
Ah, ok.
4. Wolves are meant to continually spawn in the last compartment. It's a little gimmick I made to fight the Wither.
Yes, I thought that this was the plan, but they didn't defeat the wither, not even after some time. After a while I just went back to "peaceful" to make the wither vanish, but the wolves still spawned and both lagged my game and triggered the ender dragon pressure plate. I needed to reload the entire map.
So it would probably be more effective to make iron golems spawn and only a certain amount of them.
No I don't think. It doesn't crash anymore. It crashed on one of the snapshots. Either way, the dragon is loose now and I haven't had time to figure out an alternative. Sadly we not have the dragon in the map anymore. But in 1.7.4 there aren't really any issues.
This map is awesome. However, I did have an interesting time with the final wolf spawn by the Wither. It kept spawning wolves! I'll have to reload the map and remember to NOT push that button, lol. They were taking over everything. D:
Edit: Fixed the issue. The redstone block was not retracting with the piston. I removed it and just used a simple line of redstone wire to connect to the command block. Now I only get about 8 wolves instead of a never ending stream. I also put down a fence and gate to prevent them from running around the rest of the hallway.

Slight bug in the tree/liquid room. There is fire on the jungle tree you forgot to remove, not too important, but if doFireTick is turned on it will burst in flames.

You can use NBT data in a /spawn command to mount the enderdragon on a minecart and put it in the usual spot.

I won't be updating this map for a while to. But the fire always appears. doFireTick doesn't stop the lava from spreading flames, but it does stop the fire from spreading up the tree. The only way to fix this is to move the tree of the lava, which I don't plan on doing any time soon, or removing the vines or something..
Thanks very much for this. I tried to make this kind of map for myself (a world with all the block types organised into nice sections) and I quickly realised how much work it is. In particular, I'm very impressed with the number of conveniences in the map: the way that command blocks sort of "set up" the environment for you upon approach.
A question: With the exception of the flint & steel, none of the dispensers seem to consume their items when you activate them. How is this achieved? Am I missing a recently added feature, or are you up to your mapmaker wizardry? I had a look to see if you were resetting them with /setblock command blocks, but I couldn't find any.
EDIT: Negative item count. Very clever.
Yes the negative count works. Although I will likely change that to a blockdata refill since the negative count can be altered if someone robs the dispenser. I have quite a bit of work to do to update that map, but I won't be getting back to it for a while.
I doubt a different shaped particle would make a visible difference at the range you need to see fireworks-- especially on youtube

The reason it crashes might be related to the fact you used a generic villager, which was removed in a recent snapshot.

Haven't tried that yet, but I'm sure the Dragon will flap around like crazy when I did it with a filter. So that's not a great option.
