Firstly, I want to say that I was very happy to see that this pack was completely released to the public on github and was more than happy to take a stab at updating it to the current version of minecraft so we can all enjoy some of the best made 16x texture packs out there. I hope you like my work (even though it is minuscule compared to Frenden's)
All of the credit for the textures (minus the few that were missing) go to Frenden and the user Andyhoi for the inspiration for the chiseled sandstone. All other work done is my own and I hope you enjoy. (Please ask if you want to use any of the textures I made for the pack, other than that I do not mind letting people use them, just ask first)
Credits and Copyrights (even though it is free)
Frenden-I have no copyright. I gave it away. It's totally free. Just attribute me as a source. That's all. Easy!
Please feel free to comment and let me know if there is anything I can work on to change. I like both admiration and criticism. Thanks and Enjoy!
Brandon White
*There are a few placeholders in the Mobs only because I am in the process of finishing them. Check back for updates. I also went back to the original wood planks. Hope you like them

I have permission. He emailed me and said that it was all free on Github and as long as he is the main source of credit, it is fine. And I did ask, not sure how to put up the emails though...maybe a ss or something

Oh, alright then. I think it's best to post a screenshot of the permission, that way people will know for sure you have permission. (I missed Frendens Cartoon Pack...this is great to see.)

I am already on it. Just uploading the picture now.
Any criticism on the textures to be finished, or even ones that I added would help me to make this pack an even bigger success
The white gravel is strange (took me a while to figure out what it was), and the smooth sandstone/chiseled sandstone varieties need more contrast and definition. Other than that, looks good.
The gravel was something frenden did so I may/may not fix it. The rest can indeed be fixed. They seemed a little too smooth for the look I was going for

Nice to see i wasn't the only one who missed Frenden's pack.
Was it your fork (luckyseven(?)) i saw on Github? I made one too a while ago when i started to play again with my nephews.
I'm at the last 2 mobs (Enderdragon was hard to make...) right now, trying to get the biome colours right atm, doing some CTM and trying some of the other HD Patcher features.
Yeah I also missed the pack. I asked Frenden if I could use his stuff and finish it and he said it was cool. I am glad people like to see that it is "back on the market" again. I have to go pack and fix a few terrain textures (like the smooth/chiseled sandstone. Other than that, I thought the rest that I did was pretty good
Yes! I Finally found someone who has revived it! I've been waiting for this for a Long, Long time
Thanks I have missed it too so I wanted to take a stab at making it again. I have a few new textures to fix up but I am hoping to keep it the same as Frenden intended.
You have no idea how happy I am to be playing with these textures again.
As for the Chiseled stone, it needs to look more chiseled, perhaps have a border as well.
Oh and any way we can get a different vine? I've always hated Freden's vines, it's my one knit picky thing.
Can't wait to see the new updates! The pictures you posted were lovely!
Edit: Also when I use connected textures in optifine the glass shows up as the minecraft original glass not Freden's.
As far as I know, Frenden did not have any connected textures in his original so that is why they do not show up. That will be In a future update. As for the stone I need to give that's good edit this afternoon after classes. The vines I would only change in the future after things are all done. *not on the top of my list of things to finish. Thanks for the suggestions
I updated the oak wood planks to match the rest and I darkened down the spruce planks a little more. I also added in the new chiseled and smooth sandstone. They still need a little more work but they are close to what I am going for.
Was wondering if someone was going to do this. I e-mailed Frenden for permission a while back but he never got back to me.
The sandstone you have doesn't match his style at all really. Try to stick to pixel art, and the same colors he uses, you might also look for his other WIP pack for more reference. I think it was called Frenden's Detailed Pack.
Here's the sandstone types that I have for my personal continuation of his pack:

Yeah I am newer to pixel art so getting things to look how to should is a little hard but, not impossible. I like your work but I would not use it in the pack since you own it. It might give me some ideas though. Thanks for sharing

I hope you meant 'gravel', because that's what I was talking about, not the sand. Sand is fine.
Yeah I have tried to pull the colors from other blocks. It really helps when blending colors.

After seeing the picture on here, I may darken the edges a lot more. Opinions?
