They did publish a new Minecraft update on 12/17/12. It was 1.4.6. They added items that are not in R3D. I would be nice just to get an update that added those items in the default texture. I had to stop using R3D for my Let's Play because it was out of date.
If you still have your heart set on using R3D you could just put the items in yourself. Minecraft Texturepack Editor makes it so easy you don't even have to use Fireworks/Photoshop/whatever else people use for editing.

Thank you! I will give it a shot. I really like using R3D.
Hey guys ,just one question. Why doesnt work for me the blur cinematic,or the shiny sun,or why doesnt look the water like in the video ? I did download the 512X version and it is working fine, any lagg or crash.
Under the "BLUR" video on the frontpage is a text which might explain you why.
This is the text: BLUR is a new Minecraft cinematic I've made that includes R3D.CRAFT in some of the shots. Besides R3D.CRAFT, I also own a YouTube channel called Uniblue Media (partnered), where I focus on special effects and gaming. BLUR is special. It contains both Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders and the Water Shader mod. Two mods that can't really work together.
This video is not just pure R3D.CRAFT, but also consists of two mods and massive video editing that totally changes the final outcome. The following video below describes in a visual manner how I worked with the raw footage and how I implemented the extra things that do not include in the actual R3D.CRAFT texture pack:
I'm sorry, but what you saw in BLUR is not achievable for a texture pack creator like myself, but only through modding, something that is far out of my field. Try to add Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders. It creates a more realistic effect than standard Minecraft. It's kinda to late. I've converted all my project files (manually) so it suits the upcoming version of Minecraft. I'm sorry, mate, but it's just too time consuming to put 400-500 textures back into one-two massive imagefiles. I really wish to use the time I currently have to make more textures instead so you get more textures in the next update.
I will be better at updating you faster when this texture pack is finished, like when there's new snapshots and such. A time when I'm not occupied with adding all the old textures.

All you need is another pack (even default will work) to put the textures you want in.
So then an update is expected for the new 1.5 update! I would suggest really working on the particle effects as I think everyone would enjoy seeing fireworks R3D CRAFT style. I think that would be beautiful..
I did that, I used the 512x, but it crashed my minecraft
To solve that problem, you have to make sure that you have a great GPU(Graphical Processor Unit), not sure but more than 8 GB of RAM, and use the magic launcher to actually use that RAM. The crash you have is probably an "out of memory crash" that happens because of the very little amount of RAM allocated to Java, the programing language minecraft is written with.
To make your minecraft use more RAM, google Magic Launcher, download it, open it, click setup at the bottom right corner, then click "Advanced" next to the "Mods" box and then change the 512 MB to anything depending on your available RAM. If you have the hardware, then you can use the 512x texture packs no problem. If you don't have it, then simply don't use it(That is what i do ). Also if you happen to try the 512x and it started crashing your minecraft, go to your "texturepacks" folder and simply delete it.
