Yeah. But with all the other update crap, it spams the thread. He will say when he wants to update.
That's probably my fault as well. I see now that I should have a more clearer update status on the front page, above all information. It seems like Facebook isn't something everyone use, as I thought, plus it keeps pushing more important information further down.
I really do appreciate people being interested and excited about this pack, and I don't judge you for wondering when the texture will hit a new update. That gives me more an impression that something is not quite as good at my part, about information and regular status updates.
Then again, I'm quite busy, as most of you who have followed me know very well.
To give you all a quick answer on the update...
I'm trying to make the pack ready for an update right now. I want to release what I have so far this week. Again, school is a living hell (my last year) and it requires even more time than last semester. You probably think I'm almost finished, and yes, on a wide perspective I am, but there's still much left! I have done tons of smaller textures, like many items and GUI/icons. Mobs stands still unfinished, except cows, chickens, Steves and creepers.
While this is good looking, this is incredibly easy to make. I'm sure you've violated many copyrights on your way to make this pack.
Really, anyone with very basic knowledge of any program can do this.
You're literally upscaling default, putting textures with Overlay blend mode and applying shadows. this isn't really a pack.
You had me on "good looking". Thank you
Sure, anyone who have worked with Photoshop or any other graphical program that is a bit more advanced than Paint could easily have pulled something off in this particular style. If it looks good or not is a whole new way of judging it. Not everyone can make things look good.
Now, if I would have made an other pack, I would use the same method so far. Just take a look at this: Link
Let's bring some history into this, shall we...
Christopher Columbus. He completed four voyages across the Atlantic Ocean that led to general European awareness of the American continents. After he had finished he's first trip, people tend to claim that anyone could have done what he'd done, and that he wasn't special. He answered this stupid claim by simply saying "Yes, but I did it".

Just criticizing, this is definitely amazing. I'm just a bit concerned that it may not be all your work.
"Modern art = I could do that! + Yeah, but you didn't."
It's definitely a beautiful pack, and I'll be using it myself.
The most important thing is that you're open to criticism, and that's a very valuable trait when committing to large projects.
By the way, care telling me how you got that vector look in Photoshop from that picture? Or did you use Illustrator?
Jealousy ... just simple jealousy.
To start you is a baby .. a baby who does not even know what he's talking.
14 years? You can walk for just 13 years and you dare criticize such a work.
I am 29 years old, some knowledge of photoshop and computer work and Tiger is just incredible.
The number of detail added to the texture of Minecraft is incredible.
Then went to study and learn to think before you speak for nothing.
Finally .... this is mere jealousy ...
Little Baby...
Bringing age into this - which means you went to my profile just to get a solid argument - isn't going to help.
I'm not saying this is bad. It's far from it. I am criticizing to help him improve in the future.

I used Photoshop, but used the pen tool which is a lot used in Illustrator. I could have pulled of the basic texture forms with Illustrator, but not blended in the book and paper textures.
I don't mind being criticizing. I appreciate it, really, and I know what you are talking about as well.
When it comes to copyright, I know I shouldn't really be sharing the Minecraft textures. I've read Minecraft's terms and use, and it says very little about the art work in Minecraft. When it comes to the textures I have changed/re-made, I don't think Minecraft can claim their right one those, as my textures are drastically changed from the default. Yes, you can see the texture pattern, but it is so modified I can call it mine. Maybe that won't work through lawyers.
I do credit Minecraft in my copyright-section and state that this is based/inspired by/on Minecrafts artwork. Everything will be changed eventually, and the items I'm working on now, is totally changed.
Wow, this is fantastic! My only concerns are not having a more glassy texture for redstone lamps and glowstone. Other than that, this texture pack is by far the best I've seen.
I think MCPatcher works fine and that gets updated for the snapshots
But MCPatcher wont give him the tweaking he needs under Optifine, and Optifine is having conflicts with MCPatcher.
I'd start first by allocating more RAM to MC, but there's no guarantee that that will help you run higher res textures. At some point, the limiting factor becomes the video card / GPU.
Uh my Game just freezes when i load the texture pack. I have a gtx 670 8gb ram and a i5 proccesor. My computer can run skyrim at a nearly constant 60FPS. i have followed your instructions but it is not working still. i get the "Mojang" logo and its in your texture but after that it freezes
Any help would be apreciated.

EDIT: Just tested again, and it definitely works for me...
What are you going on about? That's from a mod. That isn't updated.
