Did the cat textures. These are ones i'd been dreading. I really had no ideas for them, and there's not a lot that can be done with the model. They aren't my best textures, but they work i think.
At least the cheshire one is neat.
Expect equally bad dogs soon as well. Then i can get onto making decent mobs again.
Sure they do. Get them up to the surface, blow them up like balloons, then breathe out of them when you're under water.
...What if i made them into nitrogen tanks? You can't eat a nitrogen tank, or breathe it on its own, however when mixed with oxygen it makes breathable air.

Looks really cool! I love that many blocks have alternates with them too, although some of them might look strange if they appear next to each other. The tools and ores are great too. I have been looking for something like this for a while now, after Glimmar's pack didn't really nail the steampunk theme I wanted, and I'm so happy someone did this! The only things I don't like are are the minecarts and boats. They look kind of weird just because they look so complicated. But overall, great job!
If you use mcpatcher instead of optifine, it's much less likely that identical variants will be together.
Started on the villagers. They will all be wearing gas masks. Of course each will get a unique style. This one is the farmer:

I need to figure out why the sleeve is messed up however.
If you've updated to 1.7, the sleeve issue is probably a problem from that (or possibly the MCPatcher beta). I've noticed a fair number of textures that have become a bit derpy in 1.7, especially when seen on certain sides (such as the door texture and the sides of the bed).

I am using an older profile in this though, since mcpatcher isn't working yet.

1.7 is not the issue here; thiings like that on mobs have never mirrored. Things like pig legs, wolf ears etc.

It would have to be a chlorine mine because of the poison.
Are those mobs? Or items?
But it's used in creating Water Breathing potions… chlorine doesn't make much sense for that.
Pufferfish does neither.
Bein' normal for suckers.

I was thinking something else but that works too.
Anyway, wolf texture is done.
It's a wolf. Not much more to it than that.
The wild ones are dirty, the tame ones are clean, and the hostile one is bloody and showing its teeth.

It looks more like a well dressed robot.
Nah, it's a gas mask. When you see the other ones it will be more obvious, hopefully.

They sometimes do though. Villager legs mirror. Zombie arms do.
Are you going to make a variant that's wearing a straightjacket? The arms are too perfectly shaped not to.
I was thinking the priest could be some kind of deranged cult leader wearing one.
Good idea. Are the witches going to be exiled villagers that became plague doctors?
