Your duty to yourself (having a career) makes your duty to us insignificant. I love this texturepack and all, but definitely focus on what must be done before things that are more like "hobbies." I hope there is absolutely no pressure on you to update this pack.
Thank you, I appreciate that. I definitely feel some pressure, even if none is placed on me by the community here - it's just a kind of personal thing I feel I have to do, you know?

personal victories are some of the greatest victories even if they are small to those viewing on the outside...
keep being victorious even among yourself and you will see that what you want is going to be better to make a mindset and goal

Yeah, I understand that. It's not your fault. Your work is f*cking amazing! It's the human psyche that puts pressure on your mind. The want to impress people around you. (Which you have already done for me and plenty of other people.) Work at your own pace.

Thanks guys, valid points. I might actually start up a new thread asking for assistance in updating this pack, because I'm not going to be able to update it any time soon, honestly. As much as it pains me to say.

Thanks dude, I appreciate it. I'll try my hardest, even if that means getting outside help.
take as long as you need :D!
those in the video game industry sometimes try to rush to meet deadlines but if they were to take as much time as they needed to hit each point they felt was necessary then they would achieve popularity among the consumer and would be fun creating among the developer

I could help (a bit) with some item textures (but not mob textures, sorry). Just message me!
As of 1.6.1, Texture packs are now "resource packs," meaning they can hold sounds and other effects as well as the textures themselves.
I know that it will be a while before this can be utilized for this pack, but this seems a lot less trouble than making a mod for sounds.
Thanks for the update - I'm assuming the textures themselves remain the same the way they are packed as of 1.5? Just each texture being singular and all
It makes me giddy with childlike joy to see such a dark pack in a market saturated with cartoons! Is there any sort of assistance you could use?
Hahaha, thank you, I always thought there was a lack of good horror packs in Minecraft.
And I might need help in the future, but I'm being quite reluctant to get assistance yet. Perhaps my ego is slightly too big, who knows? But if I do need help, I'm going to be sure to post it here.
I hate to be a burden and force the feeling apon you that im rushing you because im not trying to rush you and im sorry if I make you feel that way, but I don't see any progression notes?, has there been no progress. I feel like this pack has died off... not to be rude I hope.

In its current state, there is no denying it's dead. But that isn't to say I haven't been wanting to update it - I know it sounds like a dead promise, but it IS true. I've been thinking about it quite a bit recently.
The thing is, I'm literally going into my final exams now for school - I'm graduating in a couple of weeks. This whole year has been very busy for me with schoolwork, and getting this pack done would be difficult whilst still juggling everything else.
I'm really sorry to keep everyone on edge like this, but I genuinely don't want the pack to die, yet at the same time, I have too much pride to let someone else take the helm - considering I don't just 'dislike' the pack anymore, and considering I'm not just 'over it', I still want the pack to be... mine, I guess. Arrogant and prideful yes, but I just can't being myself to do it.
Again, sorry to keep everyone just waiting like this... I'm hoping I can get it sorted as soon as I'm finished my HSC. One more thing that is annoying me is actually just getting the technical stuff set up for the newest version of Minecraft - it seems like such a hassle.
It's fine man. I periodically check this thread, and while I'm interested to see where it goes, and although I would like to use it, I have no urgent need to see this pack done. If people want to use this pack for an adventure map or something else, incorporate 1.3.2 textures and before, use another pack, or just wait until the pack is updated enough for your map.
I thoroughly support this pack, because I personally think it is very well done, and I can sympathize with your situation seeing how I'm going into college in the near future. As always, personal responsibilities to maintain your livelihood should ALWAYS come before a hobby or recreational work. I'm glad to see you're still around, and if you don't want to reach for outside help, it's YOUR decision. No one can blame you for wanting to create something and get the satisfaction of finishing a project of your own making.
well put, I don't think there is anyway to express it any differently, besides the fact that we could probably all say your work even in its unfinished state was and still is beautiful, in all that is dark, sinister, and morbid this is and will always be remembered as "that one texture pack that made me love the darkness that smothers the caves"... too deep :P?

You see, it's people like you two that make me really want to continue the pack. The HSC is coming to and end on the 6th of November, which is my final exam date, and after all the festivities of finally finishing high school, I really hope to get started again on this pack. I've been watching some old let's plays and gameplay footage my friend and I filmed, and it's really making me want to bring the pack back alive. Thanks for sticking around guys, I really appreciate it, I truly do.
Looks amazing! Really like the theme and overall style. A very unique pack!
Thank you!
I've actually opened the pack up in Photoshop again... working on an update.
Though considering the massive delay since the release of version 1.2 of Isolation... I want to make this a massive release with a LOT of changes. Here's hoping I'm not biting off more than I can chew! I seem to enjoy doing that.
EDIT:
I made a daylight detector... though I have no way of testing if it looks good in-game, seeing as Isolation isn't a resource pack (yet). It's supposed to be solar panels... my creativity was lacking. But I suppose it looks okay for a start? I need to convert my texture pack into a resource pack to try these textures out in-game.
Welcome back Apple. Looking forward to your progress, as usual.
Thanks 17 :3 I'm happy to see you're still around!
I've just been in the process of converting my texture pack to a resource pack, and I'm happy to say I have successfully done so! Just had to work out a few kinks with the mob textures and animations, but aside from some missing textures, the pack is usable with Minecraft 1.7.2! Not completely compatible, because you know, heaps of missing textures, but at least it works!
Well the forums decided to themselves (excuse my language, but it's justified), and now the whole OP of my thread is a heap of code and is almost illegible.
Boy oh boy do I love the Curse forums.
Huh. I was wondering why the thread was messed up. :S

Indeed. Now as well as updating my whole pack, I need to re-write the OP... how fun...
EDIT: Thankfully, a friend of mine linked me to an HTML to BBC code converter, which has saved a bunch of time in fixing up the OP. Now it's mainly re-linking, tidying up and re-posting images.

That's not helpful dude. Texture packs are not being scrapped for resource packs.
This pack looks really, really creepy (I mean that in a good way). Keep up the good work AS.

Thank you for commenting friend! I appreciate it, especially seeing how outdated my pack is becoming now.
