I think I've seen that ghast in a video with a higher resolution before...
Indeed you have, Tobi originally had the Ghast, as well as the ZombiePigmen, Creeper and Zombie, all skinned at 128x resolution, but later reduced it to the native 32x as people complained of performance issues. Also made it easier/quicker to edit, draw being smaller.
Can I have the texture of the old lantern-torch back please? I mean the one in v.7?
And I think the grass has too much noise in it. :/
Grass? Noise? My friend if you take a second look you'll notice he actually added a little detail in the form of grass blades, in a slightly more subtle way than packs such as DoKu have.
@TobiwanK3nobi
I must say Tobi, I like what you have done here the jungle leaves are actually quite good really, but I'm sure you have something much better in the works
All other changes I like, except the torch... You forgot to re-animate it I miss the twinkle of my torches....

I do agree with him saying that the grass is too noisy. In a perfect texture pack there would be no noise. I only worked on that grass texture for a few hours, so I couldn't quite get it right. Going to keep trying - this whole thing is just a WIP. Just think of how long it took me to get stone to a place that I was comfortable with - like a dozen times it changed. Grass is just as important as stone, maybe even more-so. It's probably the most viewed texture in the game. So it has to be perfect. I want much more detail than the current one has, and much less noise. Going to take a lot of tweaking and redoing.
The torches hardly twinkled at all! I'm going to get a better torch soon though. This one isn't permanent. Just had too much other stuff to do this update to get to the torch again. Too too too too. Too.
You should really put an option to download the higher resolution mobs... I kinda miss their high quality touch
Thanks for the texture pack btw, its epic.

Hey loving the texture pack but since the 1.2.3 update ive been having an issue with a specific block, the Brick blocks, it doesnt show up properly, its split up into 4 when you look at it, one corner is the actual brick block, another looks like the portal to the nether (Purple part) another corner is on fire and i can see through the ground when i look at it and i cant remember the 4th corner... i tried re-downloading and redoing the HD patcher thing even but it still wont work for me can anyone help me fix this?

Eh... but they're so out-of-place with all the other 32x mobs. I'll add them to whatever customizer I get worked out in the future though. Thanks for not coming at me with yet another "I hate this new texture!" etc. lol Glad you like it.

Just re-patch with MCPatcher - you have to repatch every time you dl a new update.
Comments on new version:
Like the new Iron and gold blocks, now you just need to redo the diamond block too
Gravel seems a bit to pointy ish. I don't know.
Nice planks! Keep these forever!
Xp orbs seems a bit small, but doesn't matter much.
I like the new wool too.
Maybe make signs that are next to each other seamless, to be prettier for decorative purpose?
I don't like that TNT is boxed in, might just be more of a personal preference though.
I think the jungle trees could be a bit more jungle ish. Maybe add some greenbrown color.
Haha, I laughed when I saw the villagers
Keep up the great work!
Yep, need to redo diamond block.
The stones in the gravel are a squarish, yes, but to make them look more round I would have to make them bigger. As it is, I like it. Maybe that will change later(it always does). I like how they guy above your post said that the gravel being gray was a glitch. Not the first to complain about that, oddly. I don't know about you guys, but where I come from, gravel is gray...
TY about the planks. I love them too. Currently my fav texture.
I'm probably going to add more variants to the xp orbs - there's supposed to be a diff texture for each size of orb, with a total of 16 orb sizes. I just left them all the same for now though. Going to do some bigger stars later, with different shapes and stuff.
Sign are already pretty seamless. I mean you can see the seam if you're looking for it, but they blend if you're not. But yeah, I'll fix that later.
TNT could use a redo. Not an often seen texture though, so I can let it slide for a while.
I'm totally not satisfied with jungle trees. Organic things are always hard to make look good, for me. And leaves are an old nemesis of mine. I'll get them worked out later.Currently working on recoloring all biomes, including grass, foliage, sky, fog, and water colors. Going to make the whole world look much better. Nearly done, will update some time this week.
I feel your pain Tobiah, perfectionism is a terrible curse
With my comment on the grass, to be honest I don't really notice the noise that much hence why I don't it, also; I use a light touch of MipMaps (when optifine updates) and... it's grass... the tall grass makes most of the noise I can perceive... but meh..
If you can make it better, I'm not going to stop you
Gravel, IMO is actually pretty good. As you say, last time I checked, gravel was grey... not brown (unless you count that volcanic gravel they use on roads sometimes that's red )
about the only thing that I think needs work is those torches lol... having used your pack since version.. 4? i think... I've seen that many iterations of everything, I'm just surprised you're still able to come up with newer better ideas!
Could you PLEASE take a moment to set up the customizer? Here's some simple math to show you what I mean.
Pack=awesome x1
Customization=awesome x1
Pack+Customization=1+1=2
Pack+Customization=awesome x2!

I might see if I can get one set up... I don't really have that many good alternate textures though. Just old crappy ones. Why were you wanting to customize so bad?

Well, you have been through 16 versions of this pack already, and some things some people might like, some things people might not. Like the lantern torch, dark stone, and other stuff. And remember what you said in your texture pack tour video about some tens of alternate ores?
Hey Tobi, I've been using this pack recently and it is simply excellent. However, I completely agree on having a customizer with all of the previous textures that you have kept available. With all of the blocks being changed each update, there's obviously going to be some people (sometimes including myself) that will prefer some of the previous textures. Honestly, I think it's the only thing that the pack is missing and I'm sure that there will be much more than a few people who will be happy about the option of using a customizer. Thanks for all of the effort, and of course the awesome pack.

Alright, you guys have convinced me. I'll spend this next week organizing all of my alternate textures and setting up customization options.

Excellent.
Some feedback, if I may:
I really like your pack. You have some very cool textures and a good eye for design, and the monster mob skins are absolutely terrifying. As a matter of personal preference, I like some of the textures in v15 a little better, and it's good to hear that you will be supporting customization.
Some points of contention:
The inventory screen: the dark grey background for the inventory makes certain things, like coal and gunpowder, difficult to see. A little more contrast would be nice.
Color: The new gravel and iron blocks are too similar in palette to your stone/cobblestone/stone bricks, and don't offer any kind of contrast to highlight the uniqueness of these blocks. The iron just looks like another type of stone, as does the gravel.
For the iron, I would want it to look more like a metal, and to have a texture that sets it apart from stone.
For the gravel, I would want something that has more contrast, so gravel walkways (for example) don't just look like cobblestone. I found your v15 gravel to be too brown, and thus too similar to dirt, and your v16 gravel too grey. Perhaps if you could find a happy medium between the two, you would have a winner.
Another thing is the fact that your v16 crafting table, TNT, and wooden door all now share the same texture. Some contrast here would be nice. I liked the tools on the crafting table, personally, and think you should incorporate them again. The new TNT top texture is really cool, though, so good job there.
I hope that you find this feedback useful, and of course I'm only saying it as constructive criticism, because I do really like your pack.
I'm just saying that I love the texture pack. Keep up the amazing work!
