Eh outside of BTW Clay has always been pretty useless to me. I never use brick, and clay varies so widely between texture packs that using it as an accent isn't really an option. If this new block let's me finally use clay for something other than flower pots then I'll be happy. That said, painted wood did look awesome, but seems like it would've been a pain to implement. I mean vanilla sure, all the wood textures are just recolors, but all the work texture packs like this one would have to do to get proper painted wood for each type of plank? Ouch
Painted wood isn't actually happening, though.
He redacted it.
What?! D: Really? I would have loved painted wood. It has so many creative applications... It seems like he took it away because people wanted tinted GLASS more than the wood...
I didn't like painted wood.
Notch wanted wool blocks to be the colors in Minecraft, so that's good enough for me.
Personally, if something new is added to the game, it should probably have some sort of purpose. I'd like to see more new original content rather than colored versions of current blocks or more slabs and stairs.
It was because it's something people have been asking for for a long time. They jokingly included it even though it has issues.
Apparently minecraft as it is can't actually handle colored transparency well. If you play around on the MC 2.0 jar you'll notice that the stained glass has the same weird behavior as Ice, transparent textures behind it turn invisible.

Hey fira here!
Just asking would you mind if I make this texture pack the official texture pack for my map series?
Thanks!
You can. This is from my terms of use at the top of the OP:
"You may include this pack in a download with a map of your creation or adventure map, so long as it is not edited or remixed with another pack. Credit IS required in this case."

I haven't done the saddle yet, I kept putting it off because it wasn't useful. But now that we have ride-able pigs and horses I'll have one for the next update.
I've never made a post to a texture pack thread before; but I have to say, I really love your pixel work. As a pixel artist myself, I envy your use of colour. That's always one thing I struggle with. x3
I thought I should mention, though. I downloaded the v5.2 version of the pack, and. Is it missing the terrains file? I have previous versions downloaded already so I can just paste that one in the zip; but I figured if you didn't know it already.. that file can be pretty important. :<

Nice view of the a pyramid with the block at about the 1 minute mark.
Edit: Bleh spoiler'd because the forum insists on auto embedding videos.

Darn though >: What a waste...

I couldn't understand why colored glass was part of the april fools joke update. There's not much funny or stupid about stained glass. :/
There's yet more to come!

Ah.
Thanks for clarifying.

It looks a tiny bit too saturated to me- more like gold than hay, but I'm not sure what it will look like in-game.

It may be. I started with my yellow wool colors then just added some red, and slightly increased the saturation.

The bale of hay is beautiful and quite aesthetic with the style of this pack. The colour may need tweaking but the texture itself is spot on!
I have absolutely no idea. Coding and what not is all Greek to me, I can only repeat what I've read elsewhere
