I really like this x256 pack but I have this really big pet peeve about texture packs that have things that are really grainy looking like your grass, smooth stone and the bedrock textures. These are the only ones I have noticed so far that don't quite fit in with the rest of the textures.

Have you tried the mipmapping mod? It really helps to relieve the graininess without sacrificing detail and bumpmapping. I have a HUGE update coming, I've been putting a LOT of effort into. I am trying to make this pack my own and slowly but surely I am accomplishing that.

The mipmap mod crashes minecraft for me so I am unable to use it.
The pack looks fine, but I really do not like your cobblestone. The individual stones are far to small for my liking, and gives the impression of random noise from a short distance.

I will make sure to include an alternative cobblestone texture in the big update for you then :smile.gif:
No not at all. I have had this issue with all texture packs. There are somethings that run fine on this next gen system I made and then there are others that don't agree with it under any circumstance. Although I have found that 128x packs don't look grainy for some reason, I think I will give yours a run.

I wonder if it is a drivers issue... What graphics card do you have?
I hope to release my update by tuesday, if not sooner. There is just a LOT of work that's been done and a lot more to go
Thanks for the input, and let me know what you think about the 128x when I release the updated version!

Will do on the new release. Well I have read a lot of things about how AMD and ATI stuff not really liking Minecraft or at least mods. So perhaps it has something to do with that because I will only purchase AMD and ATI products, they are cheaper and work just as good if not better than competitors. So I believe my issue is AMD and ATI related.

I added an alternative cobblestone, let me know what you think about it! along with the rest of the pack, of course :tongue.gif:

Like last time the 256x pack seems grainy, but the 128x doesn't look that way at all. I think it has something to do with the pixel sizes. With 256x they aren't small enough to be unnoticeable. At any rate I like the 128x pack much better. I am curious though why the bedrock isn't darker. It just seems a bit odd that it's such a light color.

I was using this one rock that my brother [a geologist] said is very hard and is often a type of "bedrock". I will add an optional bedrock or possibly darken the existing one for you if you think it will look better

I'm not sure what the community likes in bedrock, of course they might not see much of it unless they dig real deep. I found that something like the bedrock in the, please excuse me for referring to other texture packs, minecraft4kids and basico packs were nice because it was easy to identify as the bottom of the world. Below are examples of the two.

What´s the difference between 16,32,128 and 256 ? you did not show any pictures of the difference.
Looks Real Nice actually.
Thanks!
The difference is just in the scaling. I will make sure to include screenshots comparing the resolutions for you in the next update, which hopefully will be soon, I have been getting called into work on my days off for the last few weeks and I am also going on vacation for a couple weeks in a couple weeks so the pack's progress is unfortunately slow
Sorry to everyone for the lack of updates in a while... I have been busy transferring to a full-time position at the bank [woohoo!] and building a custom fiberglass subwoofer enclosure for my Audi. I am hoping to release an update later today [not a very big one, but includes some changes and some bug fixes e.g. the sun]. Another period of non-updates will occur as I shall be on vacation from the 22nd through July 1st. I apologize in advance for any inconvienience this may cause you but I look forward to getting the pack ready for the 1.7 update! [whenever that is]

is that just with my pack or in general?

Basico Bedrock
Minecraft4kids Bedrock
That gives me an idea. Look forward to a darker more "standout" bedrock in the next update. :smile.gif:
