Just used your Whoa texture, hahahaha. It felt like I was on an acid trip or something. It didn't seem to bog down my game any. VERRRRRY COOOOOl update!
What's the point of being able to set up load order if the patcher doesn't even overwrite old files with ones higher up in the list? It's annoying having to manually deselect class files just to have a patch work.
I've just used McPatcher 2.2.0 for the first time and its thrown up some interesting stuff.
Firstly it says it doesn't recognise my operating system, Windows 7.
Secondly when I checked better grass and did a test it was old grass. When I unchecked better grass and ran a test it was better grass. At least it works.
Then I installed Modloader. so far so good.
Then I attempted to install Zombe's 1.37 and it found a conflict with the aaa.class file. No problem, Zombe's is designed to overwrite it and still have modloader work, so I told McPatcher to continue.
Then it refused to do any test runs at all. Kept coming up with problems even with every combination of mods checked and unchecked. The game still runs fine but Mcpatcher can't run a test now. The error log is a mile long and I could include it but at this stage I'm just curious about the windows 7 thing and of course why it doesn't do tests now.
Also as the McPatcher can seemingly force extra memory usage on a test, I'm wondering if there's a possibility someone will know how to make it so in the actual game. I've got 8gb of ram and java is only using just under 1gb in Minecraft.
Cheers.........
PS: I've tried running a xms xmx min max java memory bat file but it didn't work.
The addition of Randomobs is a welcomed surprise! I love you. I've already got a few animated tiles done for my pack, I'm thinking I'll release an update for it tomorrow or so, providing nothing distracts me too much. The hardest part for me is fighting myself from going overboard and animating everything possible.
i have a problem . I play Minecraft on a Mac book pro and have install the newest MCPatcher but ingame there stand always insatall the latest MCpatcher what must i do?
Pls Help. And Excuse me for my bad English
A friend of mine is running snow leopard, minecraft 1.8.1 and was running the newest MCPatcher (2.2.0), but none of the hd packs are working. We made sure they were zip, and that it wasn't't a folder in a folder that was messing it up. In minecraft, they appear greyed out after the patcher has apparently done patching for hd capability.
Anyone have ideas why this isn't working? I have 128 x 128 running on my Mac, and did exactly what I did to make it work on mine, but apparently it just didn't work on his.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

the biggest lie we tell ourselves, is we're already in hell.

So, I tested this out and got it installed, after finally getting it downloaded (thanks again for the help there!).

This is GORGEOUS. The red iron oxide. The anthracite. The obsidian. The bedrock, looking like just-cooled magma. The cobblestone, the stone blocks, the sandstone, the doors. Glass, iron railings, wood. Everything looks better. Even glowstone is no longer ugly.
Mojang should totally license this as the standard texture set.
Now all we need is some larger doors (say 2x3 instead of 1x2) and some similar-sized iron gates to go into iron railings...
I am running minecraft on a mac. OS X Lion. Minecraft 1.9 4.
When I run the mc patcher, it is very buggy. It freezes very often, and when I click almost anything, it takes me to the "log" tab. Even when it shouldn't.
I tried patching, and it didn't work. I really wanted LB Photorealism. I patched successfully, and went into minecraft. After it loaded, I clicked on texture packs.. Nothing was there besides the default pack. I clicked where it prompted me to click if I wanted to manually put the texture pack in myself. The folder didn't open. I clicked it several times, and still nothing happened. I closed out minecraft.
Then I went into the folder manually. I opened up the texture pack folder and pasted my desired texture pack, opened up minecraft, went to the texture pack section.. Nothing.
So then... I deleted the entire minecraft folder, redownloaded it, pasted in the 1.9 4, and reapplied the hack. Then I added my desired texture pack into the texture pack folder manually. Still nothing.
Does anyone have any clue what I might be doing wrong?
Thank you so much!
EDIT: I wasn't putting zip files in the texture pack folder. I was instead unzipping the textures into the texture pack folder.
However, now when I open up LB Photo Realism in minecraft, the blocks are completely messed up. When I get close to them, I can see that they are actually pictures of my iTunes album artwork. (What the heck?) I'm hoping this is because I'm on 1.9 4. I will try 1.8.1 and see what happens.
EDIT AGAIN: Nope. Not at all. Still completely screwed up. :sad.gif: I think it might be that it didn't patch correctly. I wouldn't know how to get it to work though. I tried everything I knew to try.
Thanks again to anyone who might be able to provide a suggestion!
Oh yeah, here's a couple of kudo diamonds

Edit: works nows great thx :laugh.gif:
I would rather install mods seperatly, optifine has a better version of Bettergrass, and has Texturepack support intergrated with it anyway.
But now McPatcher has this animated stuff, I'll have to use it. :biggrin.gif:
