I like it but it's getting to be more trouble than it's worth. Recently my game crashed from what i'm assuming to be the texture pack. I went back on to find most of the blocks and tools to be a white plate similar in shape to the water and lava blocks. Then, after re-installing the texture pack minecraft had an out-of-memory error after selecting. After again re-starting Minecraft everything seemed to work until going into my world. Instead of this texture pack I saw Doku's (which is the only other one I have) with the water not loaded properly. Re-trying gave me another out-of-memory error before returning to find the same issue as before: almost everything a pure white plate shaped like the lava and water blocks. The blocks don't appear this way but the icons do. Please help? :sad.gif:

Have you tried allocating more memory to Java using the link at the top of the first post? This is a common issue ever since 1.6 and it's really a pain in the ass.
I'm getting a black screen when I'm trying to put the powered rails.
anyone know why
I'm not sure why, but maybe increasing your Java heap size via the top of the first page will help prevent the black screen issue. Also see if you can install 64bit Java as that will resolve the black screens as well.
HA HA HA. That is ridiculous. I thought Minecraft was that game that looked blocky, and we were supposed to settle for it, because on the flip-side there was destroy and build of the world, unlike in all other PC games, that systematically lack damage modelling. So cool!!
This is sweet :biggrin.gif:
I'm trying to get the biome grass to get the same colour of the side grass, and it's kinda tricky :tongue.gif: Also, your pistons look a bit funny when extended, the side of the wood and the arm. I managed to fix it by editing a texture on the piston, the fourth from the right, if you want to take a look: http://upurs.us/view/28078
I am made a few little changes to coal and a few other things, plus my fix for the piston is kinda crap, so I wouldn't use the whole image.
Thanks, Jazza
Biome grass should be the same color as side grass unless you're not using the "fancy" setting.
I'll look into the piston matter. Thanks for the info.
can yo plz put in a dropbox download or a direct download plz im very anxious to get the 256x256 texture ack plz im begging you im very anxious to test it plz omg plz put a dropbox download or direct download from something that works test it your self on the mediafire link without login it is broken 2 days and it dosn't download D: still the texture pack is Fu***** awesome :biggrin.gif: :biggrin.gif: :biggrin.gif: :biggrin.gif: :biggrin.gif: UR A GOD TO ME THIS SHOULD BE PUT INTO MINECAFT VINNILA :biggrin.gif: :biggrin.gif: :biggrin.gif: :biggrin.gif: :biggrin.gif:
I'll be getting some direct downloads when I ever get around to getting mediafire pro. =)
Not sure if you've noticed, but the GetSatisfaction thread to add the HD fix is 4 votes from being in the first page. I think you and your pack deserve credit for getting us there, since before you put it up it was getting votes too slowly.
Let's keep our fingers crossed.
That's good to hear!! =D
I'm glad I could use my traffic to help better the community. Ovo really was responsible for showing me that GetSatisfaction thread in the first place.
I've used this texture pack before and it is simply amazing, I use the 256x version, but recently I've seen a problem. The blocks are coming out great in the pack but when it comes to the items they're all white blocks. I have no idea what's going on but it would help if there was a solution :X
That's usually because Java is running out of memory or has previously crashed so the game corrupted the texture files. The only plausible fix is to increase your memory to Java using the link at the top of the first page and then reinstalling the texture pack.
Hey there, I've seen in previous posts people talking of a problem trying to download different versions of the texture pack. I am currently having this also, but with trying to download 256x through media fire, which seems to be the problem. Is there a fix? A direct download somewhere? Or will I have to wait until one is created? This is fine though, as I do have the 128x. But it is still slightly annoying. Cheers.
I used to use your 128x Texture Pack in minecraft 1.5, but ever since 1.6, I get this Out of Memory Error something about java, i followed those instruction on the top of your first post, and i did all of those, i used 128x and the menu had the textures, and when i clicked my world, it loaded for 2 seconds and my Tools were white plates and i saw the textures, then it closed down completely, i tried again and it said the Out of Memory error. So i don't know what to do, this was my favorite texture pack, and ive been looking for others, but can't find any, it would be appreciated if someone could help me.

I have. I still experienced the same issue in the image in the other post I quoted. I didn't get an out-of-memory error this time, but the particle textures bugged and so when I re-launched the game the same issue came up (white plates and blank white icons for items and blocks) and the particles were fixed, but the items were, again, white plates (shaped like the water and lava blocks).

Have you tried the link at the top of the first post? It allows more memory to be allocated to Java.

Hmmm... Have you posted your system specs yet? 64bit Java may be of interest to you. Also when allocating memory try o find the "sweet spot" for your computer. I usually suggest starting with 768mb allocated and then continually increase by 256mb.

This may be relevant to your web browser and/or ad blockers you have enabled. I'm unfamiliar with having any issues with mediafire so this is hard to troubleshoot.
Yeah that is also present in the 256x pack, it appears I think always on the west side of the graphic.
Also, and I have mentioned this before, scuttles must not have seen it though, as it is still in the files:
1.) On the terrain.png, on the extreme left of the .png next to the lever graphic is a slight pinkish tint, hard to see in photoshop but shows up in game clearly.
2.) In the items.png in between the Sign and the Bread graphic there is another pinkish tint, again hard to see in Ps. but shows up in game.
Had a quick scan through the rest didn't see anything else though. Best pack out there still by a mile. :smile.gif:
I'll look into the redstone issue. It seems to potentially be bad coding as it (Literally) is impossible for ANY white to be present on the redstone dust.
I've fixed the lever issue a while back and I don't experience it myself in-game. =/
The items.png is incomplete so expect some fixes within the next update when I start finishing the items.png. This update will actually come pretty quickly. This next weekend most likely.
Also, the watch is not looking right in-game. [128x128]
-pic-
EDIT: I fixed the purple pixel between the bread and sign texture and the watch's purple pixels not showing right in-game. Hope Scuttles don't judge me.
Just an update, ive been using the 256x version of this texture pack for awhile.
No problems with it 150-175 fps depending on chunk updates at 1900x1080 ish
I don't full screen any Minecraft because theres some weird bug where the mouse sens goes down badly at full screen.
I would highly advise anyone using this pack to get hold on JAVA 7 64 Bit, its very close to release [in late beta / release candidate stage] but it will give you a performance boost in Minecraft.
Shame Minecraft doesn't support multi-GPUs [ Can we beg for this support aswell ]
Bring on 512x packs ?
I've heavily considered x512 resolution, but since I hadn't created any textures that high I threw out the idea.
What would be great about the x512 resolution is that the items may not have that "saw" edge to all of the straight items since the pixels are so small.
Anyway, I'm glad you have it running quite flawlessly and 64bit Java is HIGHLY recommended. =)
i think its something wrong with the grey side-grass thing cause pixels from the coloured side-grass is sticking out. think you missed some pixels no the grey side-grass.
The gray sidegrass is working as it should. I had to compensate for the people who run the game on the "fast" setting so that both will be visually appealing on both settings.
I know that the surveys are a temporary problem for Adf.ly, and i saw the section in the post about it, but a temporary link to the actual mediafire page would be great, because every single link I've tried has redirected me to a survey. Just a suggestion.
I don't have 32 bit java downloaded, if I did whear would I have it so I can delete it? I allocated memory, have 62 bit java and all that and I still get the memory error.
anyone know why

We can only hope. ^^
I'll get around to finishing the compressed versions pretty soon. I've been busy this weekend.

No, im using 64x64. =P
for 10 hours... I'll reply when I finish T.T
Still at it T.T

Seems like your computer is running out of memory. I would try the link at the top of the first post and see how it goes from there.

I won't judge... Much. :wink.gif:
To be honest, It's great that the community attempts to better the texture pack by fixing my sloppy errors, lol

Sad day. =(
If you get a better computer, be sure to try this out. ^^

Not going to lie, I got about 15 minutes in before realizing it was a 10 second loop. XD
It's not a bad song... Just not for 10 hours...
Thanks. =)
