The year is 30 A.D., and the world is at a pivotal point. Three civilizations have found themselves in a strange land; A new world. These small colonies are pitiful representations of the empires they once where, but they are growing. As these civilizations grow they start coming into contact with one another, realizing that they are not alone in this world. Through ingrained hatred as well as honor on the line, These peoples are about to engage in one of the longest and most brutal battles of their citizens lives. Welcome to war, Welcome to Civilization Craft.
BASIC IDEA OF THE SERVER:
Civilization is a radical new server that combines Role Playing and Player vs. Player into a truly immersive experience. Players not only decide their own play style and stories, but they also decide the story of the server. Nothing has been pre-planned or regulated, meaning all players will shape the server story, and background. You start the game by choosing one of three civilizations currently in play, The Egyptians, Romans, or Vikings. Each civilization has its own government, fighting style, buildings, and culture making your selection choice diverse and as unique as your playing style. Once you have chosen your civilization you are sent to their civilizations capital, where you can begin your new life as a player on the server, and for your civ. Only goal of this game, have fun and Roleplay to your hearts content. Whether you will struggle on the battlefield to crush your foes, or help build your glorious cities, the choice is yours.
CIVILIZATION BACKGROUND INFORMATION
EGYPTIANS:
The Egyptian race is a cultured and religious people, almost devout to a fault. Their race has risen up from the deserts of the server, striving to search out new land to claim for the Pharoah. Out of all the races, they are the most tolerant and neutral, although still very active on the battlefields of the server. The egyptians largely prefer building, but have no problem using the pharoah's armies to cut a swathe through their opposition. The Egyptians are lead by the Pharoah, a god on earth. He is all knowing and leads his people in confidence.
CLOSE PENDING FOR EGYPTIANS NOT ENOUGH PLAYERS AS OF NOW
VIKINGS:
The vikings are a ruthless and war prone race. They tend to build only small settlements, preferring to loot and pillage the other civs. Although considered barbaric to the other races, the vikings have strong brotherhood and will often fight and die for their comrades. This race is cunning, taking full advantage of day and night and utilizing their finely crafted boats to launch swift raids on their foes. The vikings are lead by their chieftan, although maintain councils for decision making. The Chieftan is often the greatest warrior of the tribe, ferocious and skilled on the battlefield
The Romans are driven by honor and family pride. They will rather fight and die then be shamed by retreat or surrender. The Romans have a strong mixture of building and warring, tending to do both. The Romans are a Republic lead by elected officials known as the senate. The senate is a determined body, poised to do anything it must to accomplish its ends. This stubborn sense of pride often leads to Roman against Roman, but always results in a long hard fought battle for their foes.
As this server is an RP server, several things are required of its members. Once you have picked a civlization you must equip your avatar with a skin that fits that race, I.E. Egyptians should pick Egyptian skins and Romans should pick Roman style skins. This is a requirement only to avoid confusion on the battlefield and to ensure a more immersive experience for players. Some civilizations will also recommend certain texture packs so that everyone can have relatively the same city viewpoints, although the server will not require you to change texture packs.
It is also required to LOVE role playing and to understand that the server is PvP, meaning you will be killed by other factions on the server.
We will post our war rules as membership rises, only to ensure fair fun play. We do not tolerate griefing of any kind in capital cities. However, in any building or man made structure outside of capital boundaries, we allow destruction. IT IS FAIR GAME TO PILLAGE CAPITAL CITIES, just not grief them.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
We do have griefer protection set, and Big brother installed to ensure that the no griefing rule is adhered to in the capital cities. We have also installed plugins such as MMO, Iconomy, and Plot to create realistic city conditions with realistic economies and plots. We are also constantly adding new plugins with the most recent discussed plugin being movecraft to allow for naval battles.

The image of wild-haired, dirty savages sometimes associated with the Vikings in popular culture[clarification needed] is a distorted picture of reality.[1] Non-Scandinavian Christians are responsible for most surviving accounts of the Vikings and, consequently, a strong possibility for bias exists. This attitude is likely attributed to Christian misunderstandings regarding paganism. Viking tendencies were often misreported and the work of Adam of Bremen, among others, told largely disputable tales of Viking savagery and uncleanliness.[58]
The Anglo-Danes were considered excessively clean by their Anglo-Saxon neighbours, due to their custom of bathing every Saturday and combing their hair often. To this day, Saturday is referred to as laugardagur / laurdag / lørdag / lördag, "washing day" in the Scandinavian languages. Icelanders were known to use natural hot springs as baths, and there is a strong sauna/bathing culture in Scandinavia to this day.
As for the Vikings in the east, Ibn Rustah notes their cleanliness in carrying clean clothes, whereas Ibn Fadlan is disgusted by all of the men sharing the same, used vessel to wash their faces and blow their noses in the morning. Ibn Fadlan's disgust is possibly because of the contrast to the personal hygiene particular to the Muslim world at the time, such as running water and clean vessels. While the example intended to convey his disgust about certain customs of the Rus', at the same time it recorded that they did wash every morning.
