That's definitely something I'll keep in mind, but definitely something that'll have to wait. Azanor is supposedly switching up things to do with Vis and Aspects again, so we'll see how things turn out.
To be fair, Thaumcraft 3.1 may take a while to be released with all the changes. To be blunt, please reconsider waiting for Thaumcraft 3.1 before making any additions to this mod, as it's a really good mod and I personally love it. To be polite, thank you for considering the suggestion, and I hope you decide to implement it.
Also out of the first post I made, I mostly want the better Enchanting Table. The old Vis powered Enchanting Table was fantastic. The upgrade which allowed you to select what enchantment you applied to your item was very nice as well, and if no other upgrades are included, that one would be very handy.(or just having a mode which consumes more Vis and can select enchantments)

Unfortunately, the TC update isn't the only thing keeping me from working on this. I've got other things going on in my life as well currently, and another project that's stealing more of my time. We'll see how things go though. The 1.5 update alone was annoying, and would involve some re-coding.
That being said, this project is open source, and if people would like to contribute, and submit pull requests, I'd be happy to include them.

Ill try and help on the port if you want... Maybe code some new machines as well...
I'm perfectly open to that. I've enjoyed your work with Liquid Metals. Though, there's no need to specifically port it at the moment, because there is no Thaumcraft for 1.5.

Do you have a GitHub account?
Would you mind pm'ing me any ideas you have for the mod? I dont have lots of free time, but liquid metals is at a standstill till bc's port to 1.5. At least i would be able to get prototype/proof-of-concept blocks/machines into your mod by the time thaumcraft updated.
My github name is the the same as my minecraft forum name.
I think you should make in more than just liquid vis expand into all aspects and make it a proper dd-on with things which weren't in thaumcraft2 and other mods etc.
Agreed and maybe you could add some ruins that generate when the "Building Terrain" and people could go and explore and find chests that have "thaumcraft" items inside the ruin, it does not have to be a big ruin maybe an underground layer, or huge boss temple.

I could look into adding that. The problem is that im no where near as good at graphics as azinore. Any new items will not be up to par graphics wise, but should work as intended at least.
I'd love to see a multipurpose wand that uses Vis to recharge and Bottled Aspects to switch modes.
Essentially, a wand that has all the current wand function, plus perhaps some more.
Potential modes of the wand:
Vis wand mode - Like a wand of the adept or similar. Used for crafting, recharges from aura, removal or arcane blocks, etc.
Wand of excavation mode - Self explanatory.
Wand of fire - Self explanatory.
Wand of lightning - Self explanatory.
Wand of wind - Knockback at range / Projectile deflection
Thaumometer - Points out nearest aura.
Wand of Healing - Heal self / other.
Wand of Swiftness - Speed boost.
Etc.
When initially crafted (Research difficulty + cost of recipe is open for debate) it is in its 'Vis Wand' mode.
Then, via some method (open for debate) you can use bottled aspects to switch to a mode that corresponds to that aspect.
Like Saxum / Solum for wand of excavation mode. Amount of aspect used for a switch is open to debate.
Upon completely draining, it does not break, but reverts to Vis wand mode and recharges from aura (need aspects to switch back again).
I'd prefer some keyboard key or shift-right-clicking to open the interface. Perhaps a secondary item that you right-click to open the interface of and then place the wand into.
Another neat feature would be: Being able to use aspects to supercharge the wand for a small time / uses.
For instance, wand of fire mode would double its damage but consume one Ignis + 1 durability per 'cast'.
If possible it would be awesome (and arguably the best way to do this) if the wand could on the item data itself store the amounts of aspect 'charge' for each type of aspect it has. Then you could 'fill up' the wand on all types of aspects, without having to haul around bottled aspects.
Switching modes or supercharging it would drain the correct aspect 'charge' from the wand.
Would also make handling of non-multiples-of-8 easier (since bottle of aspect = 8 aspect of whatever kind).
Sidenote: Even if you allow the recharging enchant on the wand, it would still cost aspects to switch modes / supercharge, but just mean slightly less time wasted switching to vis mode and recharging. So all the normal TC3 wand enchants could (perhaps should) be made usable on it.
Reasons for this wand:
Less inventory clutter to carry around multiple tools.
Uses for the stacks and stacks of aspects one inevitably store up.
Awesomeness factor.

Ya that would cool
