They're rare. They're in the middle of the ocean. You never need to go to them. If you don't like them, don't make the game a little worse for everyone else by getting them remove because not everyone else dislikes them. They won't remove mushroom biomes, so if you don't want mushroom biomes, don't go to them.
A lot of player's like mushroom biomes, a few player's don't... I have only found a mushroom biome when im playing on a SMP server or with a Mushroom Biome seed. That indicates that they are rare, so just dont look for them if you dont want them.

Yep, I'm doing this too! And click him please, this is my first egg... I would rather not find him dead in a few days.
I want to find one so bad in my world; my cave home desperately needs the mycelium to look super radical, I even lucked out on a pick axe with silk touch with only 22 xp levels!
Though I have never found one just through exploring. They should be more common. The only ones I've found are through seeds someone has told me or flying around on creative.
I've been playing on my 1.0/1.1 server since November and we only recently found our first mushroom biome. It was like an hour walk away, so I made the trip worthwhile and brought a few Mooshrooms home with me
In any case the solution is to tweak it or "improve" it somehow, not removing it.
The "i dont like... , remove it" is the kind of radical toughts that are going to lead this game to nowhere. IMPROVEMENT is the key. Same goes to the "Dont like it, dont use it" comment.
Overall, Jeb is doing a great job listening to the comunity, but the comunity needs is mostly answering in the wrong way, in my humble opinion. Jeb is not a superman, he can not meet the needs of all players at the same time.
The list of things to do is large enough for years of development and minecraft has a lot of potential that might make the list longer. We have to be patient because everything will be done on the proper time.
I have explored 7000 in all directions; and despite crossing three oceans, I have not encountered a mushroom biome yet.
If one were to say they don't actually exist; and were nothing more then an elaborate prank; I'd be inclined to believe you.
I can't see why this would actually bother anyone, unless maybe they have some "dream" seed they want to use, which just happens to have a mooshroom biome bordering, and they can't bear the site of it.
They are so pointless. Keep the ability to make giant mushrooms.. as if you were actually gonna need to do that.
This has got to be the most selfish and conceited request I have ever read in my life! Rather than explain why it is wrong I am just going to leave you to your own devices as you will never get anywhere in life with this self entitled attitude. :smile.gif:
--I honest to god think that the mushroom biome was a waste of time creating. It is the one ultra-rare sight to see in all of Minecraft(strongholds you got the eye of ender and dungeons spawn around mineshafts, so not too rare) and it has redundant things.
Well, you can make mushroom trees whenever you want.
Well, you can make mushroom soup whenever you want(overworld, caves, Nether, make your own big mushroom)
Well, you can farm cows whenever you want.
All in all it wasn't original, just a random spout of an idea. I mine as well have called that update the mushroom update. I would have preferred almost anything else being added.
Oh, and just to add, I remember when I was searching for one. It was pretty fun adventuring the world. I went out some tens of km's to find one.
The best part was transporting Mycelium 14km's then dragging a cow over 14,000 blocks with wheat! It wasn't so pointless and stupid considering they didn't add to my farm one bit! I did it for prize and it was excessively tedious.
what? do you live in a mushroom map?? how many muchroom biomes you got? I only found 1 little mushroom island far in the ocean from my main stomping area and it dissapeared after a crash (biomes were different as I went back to that area after a version change, now its just more ocean)
edit; I did manage to get 2 mooshies and a few blocks of mycelium back to my farm to make an artificial habitat.
and yup, getting mooshrooms across all that water was a "trip"

Ok, maybe don't remove them... but give them a point, more than just funky cows.
Don't go to mushroom biomes.

Made easy by the fact that they are so damn rare.
I can't see why this would actually bother anyone, unless maybe they have some "dream" seed they want to use, which just happens to have a mooshroom biome bordering, and they can't bear the site of it.
I have yet to see one.
Shame on you!

Your argument is invalid.
