The Arabic Language Really fail , people barely can read it, it is like this
( M i n e c r a f t i s a g a m e a b o u t p l a c i n g b l o c k s t o b u i l d a n y t h i n g y o u c a n i m a g i n e).
I think that when they wanted to make an Arabic Language they just translated With None Arabic Operation system, also the one who tried to is lazy to check about it, In short Word it is Not Professional work.
Please Send my message to those who are responsible about Translating, so they will be aware of the Problem.
So for example, enchanting table says enchantingtable?
I believe the problem to be the lack of a space infront of each word in the arabic translation. I guess, I don't really know so much about how the process works or arabic for that matter, but there's not a formula in-game to calculate which letter to place where, no it's all handwritten.
For example, if the game should display the name for netherrack it checks for netherrack in the languagefile.
Saying that, it's the anonymus guy who made the arabic translation who wrote the words faulty.
Agreed. Mojang does not make these translations, the community does. Mojang is too busy with a little something called "game development". Just an honest question, though: Is there anyplace in the world where they have Internet but cannot speak English? The vast majority of the Internet is in English and Minecraft has been in English since the start. If people have been playing this long without understanding any of the English in the game, I will be very impressed.

Typical ignorance. 8 out of the top 10 countries that contribute the most users to the internet happen to be non-english speaking countries. This includes countries like China, which has more than 450,000,000 internet users, to other countries like India with almost 90 million, France, Russia, Germany, and others.
Actually, more than a third of the entire planet's population access the internet regularly. That you seem to think it is only the english-speaking world that has regular access to the internet really shows how little you know about the world outside of your country, let alone the fact that you think that "the vast majority of the internet is in English", which simply isn't true. ICANN even allows domains that use non-english characters now.

In that case, I say they make a tally of which language is the most popular among all the Minecraft users. If it is still Arabic(that's the writing, not the language, but I forgot the name of the actual language), then they should make that the only MC language then work on gameplay instead of opening a can of worms.

This is stupid. Language localisation has been a standard part of the gaming industry since at least the early 90s. To say that it should only be available in one language just because you have some sort of prejudice when the developers themselves fully support localisation is insane.
To be honest, I love Minecraft and the more people who can play it, the better.

So you're saying it would be prejudice to account for the most common language and not my own? Why should game developers be wasting time on scriptures?
LET'S MAKE THE WHOLE ****ING GAME IN GALACTIC ALPHABET.

Yes, it is prejudiced when your argument is that games should only be available for speakers of one language, especially when the developers of said games go out of their way to ensure their products get translated.
Regardless, THE ****ING DEVELOPERS THEMSELVES made sure that literally dozens of languages got their own translations. It doesn't matter what YOU think, the developers think it's worthwhile and they aren't going to remove the localisations.
There's no reasonable argument you can make here. Localisation is a standard in the gaming industry, even many modders make translations for their mods - even ROM hackers do it for freaking SNES games.
As far as your galactic alphabet thing goes, it really just makes you look even more stupid to say such a thing sarcastically given Mojang went out of their way to include "Pirate" as a joke language option.

Okay, so you're saying if they don't add the language of every tribe in existence, it would be prejudice? I know they did add a lot of languages but they didn't for a couple of years, so were they prejudice back then?
They should just stick to 5 languages, any more would be a problem, any less would be 'nationalism'.
Just an honest question, though: Is there anyplace in the world where they have Internet but cannot speak English?
As a matter of fact, yeah. Most of the world has the internet and cannot speak english.
That has to be the most ignorant statement I've ever seen on this forum.
Okay, so you're saying if they don't add the language of every tribe in existence, it would be prejudice?
I never said that. YOU said that. Don't make **** up. You suggested that the game should ONLY be available in english, and that is prejudiced. You said that even knowing the developers themselves want their game to be available in non-english languages. Furthermore, Mojang ARE FROM ****ING SWEDEN. English isn't even their first language!
I know they did add a lot of languages but they didn't for a couple of years, so were they prejudice back then?
Again this is beyond retarded. The game wasn't officially released until a few months ago. Judging an incomplete, pre-release game is absurd in the extreme, especially when we already know features were planned well in advance. By your logic an MMO isn't even an MMO until release.
They should just stick to 5 languages, any more would be a problem, any less would be 'nationalism'.
No, they should stick to however many languages they want to put in. Especially since other people are being commissioned to do the work.

I should just tell the truth and say I don't care about the languages. They are letting the communities fix them anyways.

Everything you said is 100% wrong.
And the statement above is 100% correct and accurate.
People, not everybody is very old. My friends 8 year old sister plays this game, and she wouldn't understand a **** of English. There are alot of childs who play this game.
Yeah, but some ignorant people on this thread assume the whole world is comfortable with english, making every non-english speaker irritated.
All I'm saying is that the game has been in english and when they decide to go out of their way to make more languages, we get tons of threads talking about bugs in the languages when they don't realize that they can just edit them.
They shouldn't remove languages. That shouldn't even be a consideration. The fact that Minecraft has so many languages puts it a step above the competitors in this regard. I'm sure Minecraft is getting more sales all over the world in the more obscure countries just because they have this ability. Taking it away would warrant the people who bought the game getting their money back.

Enough said.
What i think is that.
In minecraft.net notch should put a poll.
About what language do you speek, and add all those 50 languages.
And then only the TOP 10 languages will be added.
And then they will hire specialists in those languages to get a good translation, not a community-made one ( as there are thousand of trolls in here ).
For example, terraria was only translated to 5 languages.
And it is more than enough, as everyone in their community speaks atleast 1 of those languages.
Lets choose the most popular ones and add them correctly all the languages at the moment are a complete mess.

Most games have only translations to languages like Chinese, English and Spanish, some others add dutch and some other " popular " languages.
Minecraft is translated to 50+ languages... expect a lot... but a lot of mistakes.
But well, it is a community translations
So, go to the website and add your own translations.
