Notch didn't read the forums, and Jeb doesn't ether. If people submitted ideas to Notch, then maybe he would add it.
Then when Jeb came, people went to his twitter :\
Notch could have took user ideas from his twitter, but he didn't.
Mojang did all previous updates, not Notch only.So your hating MOJANG,not Notch.
:\
No . . . less than four people have ever worked on Minecraft ever. Notch was basically by himself until Jeb came along, now they have Jon, but Notch left.
Mojang is an indie company, yes, but their other members do other things like manage finances, manage the website, etc etc.
Theres always that guy in every game. The owner of the game/founder of it, is really the worst one on the staff of coders/designers. I know this from watching, and learning other games.
Its like
Aaron Boucher is the founder of Endless Ages and Justin Gonzalez put all the work in it.
Jeb is definitely better. Notch shaped the game he wanted it, but Jeb is listening more to the community. Right now I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he'll add more biome specific animals, like alligators in swamps and sharks in oceans.
I'm a little sorry to say it, but Notch really wasn't good at forming Minecraft, however, he will always be the creator of the game, and he deserves good credit for that.
Thank you Notch, the father of my best friend, Minecraft!
Apparently, Jeb only works part time on Minecraft, so so much for the idea that he's going to really bring the game forward.
yeah but he also works more efficently since he's a better coder at java than Notch. look at all the stuff added in 1.1, now look at the jungle biome he's done in a week after that.
now go back in time and look at what was given by Notch in 1.6 and 1.7 (and yes i know Jeb was their during those updates, but i am wondering if Notch was slowing Jeb down with those 2 updates.
either way jeb is cranking out way more content without compromiseing stability
I think Jeb is what is necessary at the moment. Notch is the one who started the project, took his ideas and made them real and great, but Jeb is the one to keep the project going.
I don't think he's better, just kinda more creative.
But look at the game. Don't you think that it's already awesome? A new idea. You spawn in a random generaed world made of blocks, and must colect resources, kill monsters and survive. They come with many new itens and blocks, but Notch's creativity ended. Then, he started to work with Jeb, making great updates, and now Jeb's working on it. He's full of ideas, as Notch were, but let's wait some time before saying who's better. Maybe in 1.4 many players will complain about something and everyone will start talking about how Jeb is a bad worker, just like they made with Notch.
Notch was the creator of Minecraft, and I think that earns him a lot of cred. and Minecraft wouldn't be the game it is today without him, but I think Jeb is a lot better for Minecraft now, because its now a full game, and all we need now is small additions and bug fixes
This poll should turn out nice. I truly think Jeb is better than Notch in every way, and Notch was taking advantage of Jeb's skills all through Beta, and all the bugs came from Notch's side of the code. So Jeb, better through beta, and Jeb better through full release. Jeb is better period.
Notch could have took user ideas from his twitter, but he didn't.

Just because I said Jeb has superior skills and listens to the community doesn't mean Mojang doesn't have problems.
Though you guys will forget this in a day and accuse me of never saying anything positive about Mojang, but whatev :tongue.gif:

So shame on you for using that bad argument .3.
