Not stated on twitter regarding dragons: "Add scales, tint black, and add purple eyes. Ender dragon! Tomorrow, I animate." Does this mean that the current texture still needs to be changed flat out, or does it mean the currently shown skin is a regular dragon and those things will be added to an enderdragon skin of its own?
That's what I'm wondering. If there are only Enderdragons then he must have just meant that he needs to add a few more features to the skin. If he didn't mean that then we might see Enderdragons for the Ender and Dragons for the overworld.
I'm pretty sure there'll only be enderdragons.(I prefer to call 'em endragons. Why? Because I f*cking want to.) Otherwise, there'll be little point to the Ender, which I shouldn't say without any proof. But this is the internet, so I don't need proof.

There are very few people I like and/or respect.
You are not one of them.
I'm pretty sure that there will be both. Why would he post the first dragon (no skin) picture be in the ender and the non-enderdragon skin in the overworld? And what would be the point of the gray skin if there was already the multi-colored skin?
I would be incredibly upset if we could only find dragons in the Enderlands. An Enderdragon could be larger, have scales and be tougher to kill, but I would like to slay a lower tier dragon in the regular world without having to go make a thousand Ender Eyes.

Because Notch doesn't want to spoil the Ender too much yet?
And the multi-color skin was a placeholder so Notch could test animations.
I expect to only see one. I figured he was just testing the mob in the normal world at first.
But if it IS just one dragon it wouldn't be too hard to make a mod to add new dragons that can be found in the real world! :smile.gif: Plus that way people who want them to be tamed can have a mod for that!
To those that think the grey skin is normal dragons, it's not. It's a early skin. We have no reason to belive in any dragon but enderdragons at this point, saddly.
I hope there are both, as long as you can't ride them. Normal dragons should have generated lairs, with lots of ore/metal blocks inside. They should be very rare, huge, and be insanely difficult to kill, breath fire and be able to remove potion affects. Enderdragons should be smaller and more common (because, so far, they are one of the only two Ender mobs), but still be difficult to kill.
Taming/Riding dragons? No. Just no. I would rather have no dragons than lame rideable (?) ones.
\I think it'd be fantastic if we had normal dragons in the Overworld, an Ender Dragon in the Ender, and a Nether Dragon in the Nether, each with varying difficulties, abilities, and drops. Why not? I am excited at the prospect of a dragon attacking my Overworld base or stumbling upon one while adventuring. I don't want the only dragon in the game to be the Ender Dragon, but its too early now to complain or worry about it. I can only hope!
Love the idea of multiple dragons. For that matter, in the Overworld, the dragon generated could even be biome-specific; i.e. you get a green dragon in a grassy or forest biome, white dragon in a snow biome, yellow dragon in a desert biome, etc. Each would have different capabilities and vulnerabilities, requiring sub-quests to gather and assemble all the required resources.
Also really like the idea of having to deal with a marauding dragon. Something to seriously up the tower defense aspect of the game (or having that be a mode you could choose to play) would be really rad.
Dragon assaults could be really awesome in multiplayer, too.

Yes, and in their tongue they will call our offspring Dovahkiin; DRAGONBORN! -cue epic music-

don't get your hopes up guys.
