First of all, this isn't your game; hell it's still in beta. Knock off the "I want finished product every time, lol". Your thread is filled with a complete list of BS, and really makes me question your intelligence. If you don't like the changes, take some initiative and instead of blindly clicking the "Update" button whenever it pops up, click the other one that makes it so you don't update. Voila! Problem solved.
Also, if cows suddenly decide to lay eggs in Minecraft for the sake of reproduction, then who cares? It's a fantasy universe, get used to it. The whole "I want Minecraft to be realistic!" is, frankly, stupid. It doesn't comply with the real world, onoes!
TL;DR
Stop complaining.

Turning "Limit Framerate: OFF" to "ON"will often solve many problems on SMP servers that would otherwise be considered lag. Remember this.
im hopeing the magic is just a joke, i don't want minecraft to be a harry potter thing,
remember your first game, you found diamonds for the first time. encountered your first creeper?
well now with the stupid magic you can make the creeper disaper and the diamonds warp into your hands. it takes all the fun out of minecraft. i fine with the endermen and snowmen but the magic went to far! :angry.gif:

Magic doesn't automatically make it a reference to Harry Potter...

Of course we're going to have to update, because of optimizations, better performance, and more features where most are better but some are horrible. The fantasy should remain in the nether, future skydimension, and with monsters.
LOLOL! I'm sorry, but this really made me laugh out loud!! "The fantasy should remain in the nether . . . ".
Dude! Wake up! THE WHOLE GAME IS A FANTASY! Why do you want this game to mimic real life? The reason people play games is actually to get away from real life for a while and have fun. What do you think this game is, the Sims? Lol! NOT!
While I worry about it becoming too much like an MMORPG sometimes, that certainly isn't going to make me stop playing. And I'm certainly not complaining about it either. After all, this is HIS game - he created it and I feel he should do whatever he wants to do with it. Then, once he's done, people are either going to like it or not like it. I feel this way about any of the mmorpg's I play as well - too many people gripe about the things in a game that make them unhappy and how they think the company should change it to make them happy. And the companies make the changes, and then someone else is not happy. It never ends!- The way I feel is that when you buy a game, you're buying it as it is and it should be played the way the creater meant it to be played. If you don't like it after you buy it and try it, then don't use it anymore and think of it as something you paid to play for a little while. It's actually a very good deal, considering buying this particular game pre-release made it cheaper for us to get the game than if we waited till it comes out, and also, look how long you've played it already! And how little you paid to get to play it for that long!
And you didn't HAVE to buy this game either. You could have just kept playing it beta as a single player. You would still have gotten to experience the updates when they come out, even like that. Nobody forced you to buy it before it was complete. That was your choice. If you decide not to like it anymore, that is your choice too. Email Notch privately and ask if you can have a refund. But if you do that, then you'll have to pay full price when you turn around and change your mind when the game comes out in it's final state.
Joke? A joke? No, it's not a joke. It's just your bitching about how notch is adding some stuff to the game that isn't your cup of tea, and whining like a little child. I like change. What the hell would there be to minecraft if it was "Realistic"?
You guys need to fully read my post before you respond.
You need to fully understand that you can't set conditions on conversation. Either accept everybody saying what they want or go make your own boring ass forums.
Potions I could deal with, though I would have preferred alchemy as a means to make a new generation of items.
But magic... even enchanting?
I started saying a week ago that Notch is taking the game more and more in the direction of an RPG, but even I didn't think he'd go this far. Especially this quickly. And enchanting makes me think of World of Warcraft way too much...

I'm speaking on the behalf of realism, on how I do not ask for realism, but instead seriousness. There is a difference, go read a dictionary.

Since when did something with magic automatically make something a reference to Harry Potter...........are you HIGH? 0_o
I agree to an extent that most of what we've seen such as the snow golems, and the villagers were jokes, perhaps to lighten the tense mood the community was feeling.
Perhaps, they were designed to test certain lines of code to be used for something more important that notch did not plan to tell us about just yet.
Villagers, have you considered maybe, just maybe, that they're placeholders to both test villager code on a mass scale or maybe, just maybe to test out a new modeling system for the real villager models and even future mob models.
Breeding. Cmon Who doesn't love a massive flock of sheep following them while holding a handful of wheat?!
As far as the other features such as alchemy and enchanting, we have exploding creepers, giant slimes, the undead masses both zombie and skeletal. Spiders that instead of being stepped on, they step on you not to mention wolves that die when they attack these mobs. Portals to hell, and teleporting endermens that steal your blocks and know when to get out of the rain.
And now we have EXP woooo! Would you rather you use exp to enhance your mining speed by .05 seconds per level, or maybe how high you jump. Do we, the people who love this game really need to complain over such triffles that by the next update everyone will more or less have accepted as just another part of the game?
Lets all have a good hearty laugh and simply play this game we all love so much.

"I am tired of all of this variety in my game, I want him to reuse pigmen for the villages. Someone please make my game less fun and interesting, I hate these snowmen that notch has forced me to make." -A rant by Trenix shortened down
now enough jokes, I am fine with how the villagers look, but they need to do something other than just wander around. Act like a real village. Collect that wheat, have a chest with bread or something, maybe a book for the village head and some resources for the guy with the forge. It can't be hard.

I would like to speak to realism directly, please provide his phone number so my people can get in contact with him.

I wouldn't want your mom's phone bill to go up, long distance call. Well it is for you at least.
