OK. We have all seen the "Mooshrooms r stupd" thread. I mean come on. The 6 year old doesn't even know English, yet we agree? Here's my ways to deal with some of the things that are "stupd"
Problem 1- Mooshrooms are useless and dumb
Dumb? Maybe. Flippin' Awesome? Oh heck yeah. Useless? NO! From one Mooshroom, you can get Beef, Mushroom Stew, Mushroom, Milk, and Leather. That's five resources from one cow. (To get Beef and Leather, shear the cow; to get shroom stew, milk it with a bowl")Tell me that's not useful (BTW, the mushroom island biomes are extremely rare, so you probably don't have to see one anyways)
Problem 2- NPC's are ugly
Yea, I will admit they are. But it gives an eerie sense that you aren't on earth, but an alien planet. Still don't like him? Solution One: Deal with it Solution Two: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=minecraft testificate reskins
Problem 3- Snow Golems? Come on Notch.
Yeah, at first glance, they were pretty dumb to me. But then I realized, they can be used to create complex traps. There is a good thread that shows these possibilities, I will link soon. Or, you know, they are optional, sooooooo.....
Post some of your problems, and I will find some ways to fix them. I may have sounded harsh in these but these are because people keep on saying these and I'm ticked. I will try not to sound as harsh when you post yours.
EDIT: I'm not whining about how people whine. I am stating some things that people say are dumb, and fixes and solutions for them. That is all.
EVERY DAY there is at least a half dozen new "OMG COMMUNITY SUCKS U ALL WHINERS" post.
You aren't helping. You are actually contributing as much garbage to the forum as they are. These posts are ignored, and fall off the page, and never actually make a single bit of difference.
It's just you, and other ranters, being all "OMG SOMEONE IS WRONG ON THE INTERNET" mentality. And over things that are clearly subjective/opinion based.
I AGREE 100% I HAD A THREAD ABOUT VILLAGERS AND HOW NOT EVERYONE IS PRETTY AND IT WAS GONE NOW. WHY ARE WHINE THREADS ALLOWED BUT ANTI-WHINE THREADS NOT?

Lol. Whiplashr, you can't use the "It's your opinion argument" when you are stating your opinion in the post about not stating my opinion. Some people think I am helping.

It's stupid. Shut the hell up already, please.
The irony of your post doesn't escape you, I hope. He is mad at people mad at the game changes, so you get mad at him for getting mad at people who get mad at people. You even swear at him, which is a particularly bold move to make when saying someone else is immature.
Personally, I wish people would realize that the greatest thing about Minecraft is you can do anything. If you don't like a feature, make a mod to change it, or wait for someone else to make a mod. Constructive criticism is good, but there have been a lot of less-constructive rants. A call for maturity is not a bad thing, even if it is ignored by those who should heed it.
I'm not the OP, but I will say that yes, the game is easier. But we don't even have all the 1.9 content yet, and the adventure update won't be finished for awhile. I rather expect the game to get more difficult.
Notch is also not opposed to changing things that don't work well. If the new armor system doesn't work out, he will likely change it.
The hunger system adds realism. You cannot make a truly realistic game; before the change, you could just eat a zillion items of food to stay alive. Because eating bread automatically heals any injury. Battles then were about having enough food on your person, nothing more.
So basically, neither system is actually realistic, nor perfect. In reality, to make it realistic and challenging, the first arrow would kill you. But that would make lots of people mad. So, you could say you have to be healed slowly, over time. So... now what do I do for the week it takes my guy to heal from my last adventure? Is that fun?
I personally like the new hunger system, as it means less worrying about food in combat and more attention to little things like not getting shot. But no matter what is done in the game, it won't be perfect and it won't make sense.
I agree with everything you said, but I just hate the villager look and I'm not one for modifying anything in Minecraft.
I don't understand your desire not to mod, but I'm okay with that. So long as you can communicate your displeasure in a mature fashion (like you did). I rather suspect there will be multiple types of villages in the future; perhaps you can just wipe out the 'muppet' villages and trade with the others :wink.gif:

So you are saying a game with zombies, skeletons, slimes, walking green tnt, floating squids things that screach and shoot exploding snow balls, zombie pigs that walk around, giant mushrooms, cows infested with mushrooms, snowmen that move, and teleporting tall creatures is a realistic game. Am I missing something here?
I would prefer fun over realism any time, any place, any day.

Agreed. There must be some element of realism; for instance, armor does help you survive battles instead of making crops grow faster. But I agree, fun is more important than realism. Although to some, realism is more fun. That's why the Rainbow Six games have sold; you really can die in one shot. (I do enjoy that, but I also enjoy less realistic games as well.)
Personally, I find the new hunger mechanic more fun. In a battle I am trying to kill and not be killed, while before I would constantly watch my health to know when I should eat a pork chop. It comes down to personal preference of which is more fun. Again, I personally don't run off and hide in a hole for my health to come back. Nobody says you have to either.

I never liked the idea of the hunger bar. I used to be like you in a sense where I thought that not having your health automatically refill might be a good thing and make the game harder. Then I found out it did the opposite. The game became easier. There is not need to worry about dieing, there is no reason to be scared anymore. That was the joy of this game was it was legitimately scary at times. Like when you heard a loud zombie sound coming right behind you and you can't find a zombie. But now that you pretty much should never die you don't need to be scared of mobs, oh sure it hits me, I'll have the damage healed off in a few seconds.
OK, I can not fix your problem about hunger Anonymous. While I like it, there is not really much argument about it. Neither is there about armor. Hopefully Notch will both make them toggable. If not either, there will be a mod available soon, trust me. And sorry for not answering your post sooner, I was fast asleep in bed. And thanks Yockey, for posting while I was gone.

"Look at me still talking when there's science to do. When I look out there it makes me glad I'm not you."
Thanks, I am tired of seeing the Mooshroom threads. Or Villagers are Dumb Threads. Or about any other Whiner thread, actually.

Caps button seems to be stuck.
Armor revision makes the game too easy.
