What issues does the bug Cause: rare-block farming
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: If you have stone-brick stairs, and you break them, the direction they are facing determine what you get out of them. If you break them in while they face one direction they will give use mossy stone-brick. Other directions give you diffrent types of stone-brick.
Your Computer Specs and Operating System: Dual NVidia GTX 480 in SLI, 12Gb Corsair Dominator RAM, Intel i7 930 O.C. to 4.2Ghz, Windows 7 Professional, Intel 40Gb SSD (Minecraft is loaded to it)
Can you repeat this bug: Yes
What issues does the bug Cause: Total crash of application.
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: "Minecraft has run out of memory." Having over 1Gb of memory dedicated to the application seems to do no good, as watching the stats (F3) shows that most of the time I'm only using ~150-300Mb of memory. It will randomly stop, pop up with text saying "Saving Chunks" and then show a text explaining that either the system doesn't have enough memory (GOOD LORD! Is 12Gb not enough for you?!) or that there is a bug in the game. I see the second being most likely, as I also run Minecraft on a 2 year old laptop with the following specs.
Windows Vista
4Gb RAM
320 SATA HDD
Radeon HD Mobile 3700 series video card
I have had the same issue on my laptop, but it doesn't happen as frequently as on the desktop.
Image attached as a reference to the screen that pops up after the error. Nothing leads up to it that shows that it will happen other than, as said, "Saving chunks".
Is there anybody out there that knows what causes this problem and is there a fix to it?

What issues does the bug Cause: Hostile mobs spawn in well-lit areas
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: Outdoors; zombies, creepers, skeletons, etc are able to spawn within 3 blocks of a lit torch, lit netherrack stone, and lightstone.
-- After the release of 1.7.4 , hostile mobs (summon at night) always summon near any well lit areas , so that's why people use torches to make a zombie trap . Also , they can feel you , so make sure that your house is secure .

Hmm, I've seen red-flowers spawn in 1.8.1 Maybe try a few different worlds / seeds.
Well thanks, if it's not a bug, then it's absurd rarity can be added to my review of 1.8 that I'm typing up right now. I shouldn't be finding more pumpkins than roses even if they are the rarer flower. Come to think of it I haven't seen the fern grass either.

Stand in the portal for 3 seconds , and get out . Now go 7 blocks away and make another portal . Then go into the portal that you just made . When you come back , you will see you were misled to a further location in the map . Also check the bottom . You will see that the portal has plummeted down the soil . What issues does the bug Cause:Visual glitch, causes the ground to become transparent.
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: I had it occur when I was 4 block above the ground and looking at an angle toward darker lighted ground. Also when going into a ravine as I was descending the point where the dark began blinked into transparency, once I move off the exact angle by even one block the ground reappears. Animals, grass and other objects act as if the ground is still there, its just transparent.
Here is a picture of the glitch

What issues does the bug Cause: I can't find a wolf
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: Wolves are not spawning in forest biomes on SMP servers. I've spent the last 2 days looking for wolves, and I can't find any. Someone told me they found a couple in a snow/tundra type biome, but doesn't remember where he found it so I can't go look there either.
just a tip for the people getting out of memory errors on Win7 64
try using 64 bit java. I was getting crashes every 5 min like clockwork. remove your 32 bit java first, then go to java.com using 64 Bit IE (in the start menu under all programs) and download the 64 bit version.
may or may not help, but it made a huge improvement for me. I played 4 hours tonight and not a single out of memory crash.

What issues does the bug Cause: Server becomes unusable when a player tries to shift click an item out of a chest with a full inventory. It gives a huge stack trace similar to this:

Version of Minecraft: 1.8.1
SSP or SMP: SMP
Your Computer Specs and Operating System:
Windows 7 Home Premium Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard Model: HP G42 Notebook PC Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) II P320 Dual-Core Processor 2.10 GHz RAM: 3.00GB (2.74 GB usable) System type: 64-bit Operating System
Can you repeat this bug: Yes.
What issues does the bug Cause: Lag. A **** ton of it. It's severe enough to crash a game for several people on a SMP.
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: After gathering a plethora of orbs, upon dying they will spread out in great numbers. Both the orbs and items that were on the player do not disappear regardless of how much time has been passed. Every time the player who died tries to get back on the specific SMP server they died on, the orbs suddenly start to swarm on them in great numbers (even if they respawned far away from their point of death).
The sudden flooding of these orbs has cause the game to move at .10 frames per second.
A possible solution would be to make it so, when a player dies, they drop several large orbs instead of thousands of little ones.
