It seems to me, that sheeps are to blame, because the game only lags, when I can see a sheep. When theres no sheep (or other animals?), for example in a desert, theres no problem and the game runs smoothly at 45-50fps.
I get this in the desert, and with or without sheep (or any other mobs). It also occurs when not moving, and in the menu screen.

Your Computer Specs and Operating System: i7 Q740 : 8 Gigs RAM : Crossfired Mobility Radeon 5870's : Windows 7 Ult. x64
Can you repeat this bug: Yep. Move through a desert biome generated from 1.8 and bumping into "invisible" cacti. Other player saw the cacti, but I did not.
What issues does the bug Cause: Taking cactus damage when there is no visible cactus.
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: Only occurs in new chunks generated in 1.8. Only occurs in the desert biome.
Your Computer Specs and Operating System: i7 Q740 : 8 Gigs RAM : Crossfired Mobility Radeon 5870's : Windows 7 Ult. x64
Can you repeat this bug: Yes. This affects all endermen encountered on my server.
What issues does the bug Cause: Endermen don't seem to notice other players. I can look straight at them and they continue their normal activity. They become hostile when I attack them, however.
Your Computer Specs and Operating System: 6 core AMD phenom 3.3 Ghz, 8g ram, geforce 460
Can you repeat this bug: With difficulty since it seems to be a certain angle or distance and light level to make this happen
What issues does the bug Cause:Visual glitch, causes the ground to become transparent.
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: I had it occur when I was 4 block above the ground and looking at an angle toward darker lighted ground. Also when going into a ravine as I was descending the point where the dark began blinked into transparency, once I move off the exact angle by even one block the ground reappears. Animals, grass and other objects act as if the ground is still there, its just transparent.
Here is a picture of the glitch
here is the same view but I just moved one block away
I'm not sure if this has been posted anywhere yet but i found a torch bug
when you place a torch underwater, it automatically breakes, but all of the light from the torch stays there.
Just found this on 1.8 in SSP
I found a bug in Creative Mode where torches destroyed by water will pop off, are able to be collected, and will cause you to have more than one torch, while still being infinitely placeable.
Also, F6 and F7 don't work.
Version of Minecraft: 1.8 pre-release 2 :wink.gif:
SSP or SMP: Both
Your Computer Specs and Operating System: 3G Ram, Dell Laptop/Windows Vista
Can you repeat this bug: yes, everytime
What issues does the bug Cause: attempting to log into Minecraft Launcher
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: Reports "Login Failed" every time, no errors messages, nothing. I simply cannot log into Minecraft. Check my other MMOs, and all log in just fine, made sure my saved Username and Password were correct, trying deleting bin files, restored them, still same problem, so I can't even update to full 1.8. It allow me the play offline option, but this means that by default I cannot update at all. Game was working last night as of 3:30 am when I went to bed.
Your Computer Specs and Operating System: Vista 32-Bit SP2, 2.2 GHz Intel Celeron, 2 GB RAM... Low-end, but probably not the cause here.
Can you repeat this bug: N/A
What issues does the bug cause: Random biome reassignment. Chunks generated before the 1.8 update have had random biome changes. A tropical forest biome has changed to the savannah colors, a savannah biome has changed to the pine forest colors, and a few very small areas of the map in the center of the new biomes are a patchwork of three different biomes. A fairly harmless bug, but I'm a little annoyed that my beautiful tropical forest castle is now surrounded by crunchy brown ugliness.
Your Computer Specs and Operating System: 2GB Ram, Win7, CoreI5
Can you repeat this bug: yes
What issues does the bug Cause: Chests, signs, and my hand appear to flash black very often. Chests do it really often. Tried setting and removing torches as suggested by several forum users... no dice.
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: Basically every chest and and sign I've placed in my 1.8 world.
Version of Minecraft: 1.73, trying to log in to update it to 1.8
SSP or SMP: Neither, stuck at the login screen
Your Computer Specs and Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit, AMD Athlon(tm) II Dual-Core M300 2.00 GHZ 4.GB-Ram.
Can you repeat this bug: Plenty of times
What issues does the bug Cause: I can't even login. It says that I cannot connect to the server. It happens over and over again. It was working before 1.8 came out, so I don't know if it's my issue, but I'm guessing.
Your Computer Specs and Operating System: W7 64 bit, Athlon 2 X3 455, 4GB RAM, Radeon HD 4350
Can you repeat this bug: Yes
What issues does the bug Cause: Causes crash (screen that says "saving chunks" and then black screen until restart of minecraft) No other problems than that it causes a crash (no items are lost, my position and time of day are the same, etc)
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: While inventory is full, shift clicking any item from a chest causes the crash. Also, shift clicking from inventory to chest when the chest is full causes it to crash.
I get this in the desert, and with or without sheep (or any other mobs). It also occurs when not moving, and in the menu screen.
solution: update too a less lagging and less bugging minecraft
