I was just busy mining away with 2 of my friends in our SMP server, when all of the sudden somebody lets out a huge scream. A moment later he says "Oh... oh... it's okay guys... he's nice..." Then my other friend said, "Hey! Why not give him a name?" I piped in, "He looks like a Jack to me!" From then on, there were 4 of us. Me, Shadowkan, Shredster7, and Jack the Enderman.
We had a great time together. We mined several stacks of iron, Jack helped move blocks that were in our way, he even saved me from falling into a ravine once. Jack was a wonderful person.
Eventually it got a bit late, so Shadowkan had to leave. I was a bit tired as well, so I had the idea of making a room for Jack somewhere down in our mine. I built it out of wood, had nice wool floors, and even had some books and bookshelves for Jack to read if he got bored. I said goodnight to Jack, and then Shredster7 and I logged off for the night.
Today, I logged back on, and spawned back in the mine. It was just myself, alone. I checked up on Jack's room I built for him. There were 3 blocks missing from where the door used to be. Jack was nowhere to be found. The only clue I had as to where Jack went to was a small note in the middle of the floor. Jack was a (ender)man of few words, and it showed all the way to the end. The note had nothing written on it. Clever, Jack. Very clever.
I snooped around for a few minutes to see if Jack was just hanging out nearby. I checked back at the ravine that Jack saved me from the night before. Peering down from the ledge, all I saw was a single ender pearl silently laying there.

Pictures of the Jack the Enderman memorial: (Built my Chicago63 and Shredster7)
Another update. Shredster7, who was involved in this (true) story, likes the idea of writing Minecraft fiction. He decided to start writing other short-ish stories about the motives/origins of Minecraft mobs, blocks, structures, mythology, etc...
Just thought of throwing that out there. Thanks for all of the support, everybody. Shadowkan only had to go through some minor therapy to get over the loss of Jack, and he seems to be coping just fine lately. Thanks for the support, again.
Poor Jack. :sad.gif:
Reminds me of my Enderman friend who lost his friends because of a tnt explosion. He was so friendly and was just strolling in mine (Maybe my pumpkin hat will have a role in it.) and making sounds like cleaning his throat. Later he decided to listen his purple free soul and left the mine.
RIP Jack the Enderman.
Also, There's this site called The Holders, one of the stories is about a guy named Jack who turns evil, and is described as gray and bloddcurdling, maybe tall, can't quite remember. Kind of like the slenderman story.
Do you think he commited suicide?
Or was it an accident?
I think the former is, unfortunately, more likely.
If it he hadn't wanted to die, there wouldn't have been a note.
Or he got murdered...
I'm sorry for this but I can't pass up such a perfect opportunity for it.
COOL STORY BRO!
it was actually possible to pass up on something so immature. Give the kid some respect he wrote a well thought out post on a "made up endermen" which was very descriptive and im guessing required some imagination not to mention how awesome the memorial was :tongue.gif:
I think i found Jack's friends. I was strolling around Jack's room and then found another area in the mine,i saw too endermens whit blocks in their hands near some lapis lazuli. As i tried to build a little coblestone bridge to get near them and take a screeny a zombie pushed me in the lava :sad.gif:. I'll try to get there again for Jack!

You probably met Lapis (Jack's brother that Shred and I met later) and possibly one of his friends. One of us is going to have to break the news to them...

COOL STORY BRO!
A moment of silence, for the silent hero of the underground.
Update: Original post updated to include solemn photographs of Jack the Enderman's memorial.

Ignore this, it's old

Was there a chicken in the area?
If so, I would suspect fowl play.
