I apologize if this has been asked before, however i think my worlds are having re-accuring problems. Specifially, certain animals are not spawning. For example, in one world, there are no sheep. This is very annoying, as i cannot make a wool bed without wool, which comes from sheep. In my second world, there appeared to be no cows.
Is this just due to the biome im in at the time? Or is this a known bug? With the no-sheep world, i tried looking for a good chuck of time over a couple biomes and never spotted any sheep.

Run around. You'll find one eventually. Listen for the sounds that they make, and you'll find them eventually. Not sure if there's anything biome-related to how mobs spawn, but you could always just do what you're doing right now and try new maps when you can't find the mob you're looking for. However, think about it. Which way is simpler? Your way or mine?

Sadly, like i said, i tried running around three different biomes for a good 20 minutes, with render on the farthest distance. Then got on top of a mountain and looked around. Ducks, pigs, and cows. But no sheep. I'll keep searching, but i got a hunch that its not spawing a specific animal in each world. Or at least in large areas of the world.
I have a similar question, I spawned on a group of islands and there are no animals AT ALL. It's quite annoying and luckily I found an abandoned mineshaft and could break the cobwebs to get string, then turn that into wool to make a bed. It's quite annoying.
I guess it's also kind of fun because it makes it harder to get food. It's like a constant fight for survival. It's actually a really fun seed, just no animals makes it quite annoying. If anyone cares the seed is -1489010355
