To make myself clear this is not to bash anyone in mojang about anything! I'm just stating what would make more sense.
With that said, I believe it should go:
-Bedrock (Duh)
-Stone and ore
-Caves
-Above rock biomes
-Ravines
-NPC villages
-"false" Strongholds (I'm not sure I hear mutiple thing about them being either ruins or a strong hold that appears above ground)
-Strongholds
-Abandoned Mine shafts (in close proximity to the villages, to not only lessen them a bit but it makes sensethe would be some what nearby also with above ground entrances)
Obviously there are a lot of things to fix with the mines and strongholds, such as making mines more strip like instead of one on top of one, on top one, going through another one. (I really really dont like the mines structure)and for strongholds the need less doors leading into walls, also if a room ends it should end in bricks not smoothstone.
Questions/Comments/Suggestions?:
-Why are you even reading this bullet you know what to do already :tongue.gif:
I have absolutely NO idea what you're talking about in any of this thread.
Terrain features are generated separately in a certain order. In 1.8 it's noticeable that, for example, strongholds are generated before ravines, because when you find a ravine running through a stronghold the stronghold's architecture will be as though the original terrain is there (floating doors, etc.). The OP is saying the order should be changed to help things fit together better.
What exactly are you trying to say here? That the order in which terrain features are generated is a technological limitation, and anyone who wants it changed needs to provide a way how? Or that you need to be able to code games in order to recognize that one feature might be better than another?
Cool, now use proper typing skills.
Exactly, you can't. So I'm better.
You also don't know his coding skills (If he has any. I wouldn't know personally, obviously.)
On topic: It's a good thought, mate. Another way to fix it could be to make strongholds and the like a biome. I *think* ravines and mineshafts are considered as such, though I *may* be wrong.

Thats probably a better idea maybe its not what spawns first but what overpowers the other

EDIT: It's starting to make a little bit more sense, but I'm still not convinced that the terrain has an "order" in which it generates things
the order in which things should be generated ever notice how strongholds are sometimes ripped apart by mine shafts and ravines?
exactly , you cant , so mojang is better.
If you actually read what I wrote you would see that I wasnt bashing anyone I was just suggesting thats how it should be generated.
Wow, way to sound like a tool. He wasn't bashing Mojang, and his idea makes sense.
