Dude, answer the question. Explain why you like dougs taking blocks and making circles with them, because I don't get it. Do you think it's mysterious? What is it about having to take blocks of yours moved by an NPC and moving them back that you like? Why is this such an important thing to you? What possible value could this offer to gameplay?
When was any mob important in minecraft? They're just there to make your minecraft life worse like every other one; however, this one appears to make your life horrible because you cry about it on the forums. I don't see anyone crying about creepers blowing up and shuffling WAY more blocks in one time than an enderman can in one night, plus they burn at day. And quit calling them dougs, you sound retarded.
I have a relatively large group of friends on campus that play together on a server, and we'd be split if there were more options. Perhaps it doesn't affect you, but finding servers that match your exact preferences when you want to play vanilla will get a bit annoying.
That seems like pushing it. I mean, if these people would leave your server because of a slight change in gameplay, they aren't much of friends.
I mean, you guys can't just compromise or play the previous settings?
Aaaauuuggguaguugugug I dont have a keyboard i dont have a keyboard ahhhhuuuguuee hes gunna kill me and I cant move or sqitch to mah sword cuz I dont have a keyboard....
Uuuuggghthhh.. -sleeps- well keyboard what do you have to say for yourself? -click click click click-
Being a challenge doesn't automatically make it more fun or any better.
Cutting my lawn with a fingernail clipper is more challenging than with a riding lawn mower, but it's not more fun, nor does it add any more value to my life.

When all is said and done, Will you have said more than you have done?
It's an added challenge, your buildings are no longer impenetrable. They could take bricks without you noticing allowing mobs to get through and surprise you.
Now that your question is answered, what is your response?
If you want adventure and challenge, why are you sitting around in your house whining about there being no adventure or challenge?
Might as well stop creepers from blowing up and attack like a zombie too right
You seem to forget that it's actually quite easy to prevent a creeper from doing what it does best: impale it with a diamond sword or avoid it. It just doesn't walk up to your house and suddenly explode. You have to make it.
if the enderman can still pickup any blocks in official 1.8 release
i REALLY hope that a bukkit plugin is available to stop enderman from picking up player placed blocks,
or we are going to see many griefers taking advantage of this, by luring enderman where they want and making them grief the desired project or block

It's funny how it took you a page worth's time to find a response. There's two elements at work here, survival AND adventure. I want to go adventuring, but make it back home to survive. That's what Notch wanted to make this whole time, the creative essence was made because we got bored of farming wheat and hiding in our houses and wanted to make something large. However, now that we have new mobs along the way, we don't have time for that, we just gotta make due with what time we have. People like you got so comfortable with that, no wonder you cry too much about it, now a slight little nuisance called enderman came along.
Since you have reading comprehension problems, let me put it like this:
If you want adventure and challenge, why don't you leave your safehouse? DERP.
Because that's what you do in Minecraft... you build a safehouse so you don't get killed by 10 creepers and skeletons at night. If you had NO refuge you'd die constantly in MC as there's too many spawns at night.
You don't prove a practical point by taking things to the extreme.

Good idea making a mode called survival mode. IN A BUILDING GAME. It's too much too handle.

Wait... after all that... that's you're final answer? Ad hominem?
All that build up and talk for that?
Provide an on-topic, logical response please.
No, read it again, you.

There's this thing called a torch. It looks like this
It stops monsters from spawning.
Here's more information on it.

They've been making this argument since forever.
Slather torches all over everything. "Problem solved" in their minds.

You could also use water, or a block monsters can't spawn on.
My house uses one torch for each room. efficient torch placement. or I could have used wood since monsters can't spawn on it.
Monsters can't spawn on wood. I'm guessing you didn't know this.
(please correct me if monsters can spawn on wood)
