Yeah.. Installed. Instant crash. (maybe Eng only caused this.)
Tried to edit the text doc to just have english. Game doesn't load.
Edited for a space that looked like it was missing. No load.
Tried BOTH instead of just english. No load.
Tried both w/ the doc edits too. Same thing.
sajgkjaf;djkhad Hell if I know what to suggest.
Edit :
Yes, I also tried to just copy them as-is. Didn't load either.

in the download both english and german are now separated inside their respective folders.
please check the install instructions for how to install them.
-> You're going with the spelling of Laevathein instead of Lævateinn? (Or at least Laevateinn if MC doesn't support æ)
That spelling looks more like Leviathan to me. But I guess they're similar at the core too. The h throws it off for me, though.
-> Nazrin's Dowsing Rod's
-> Reimu's gohei actually has a name, it's called the Purification Rod. (Going on Touhouwiki.net) Not sure if you want to use this, but you used other official names, so.
-> The "spirits" surrounding Rin, as the wiki do describes, would probably be a better term. I assume you were looking for opinions on this with the three question marks, or maybe missed them? While Rin's Spirits would be kind of a strange name, Rin's Companion Spirits would be fitting in my opinion.
Also, I use the wiki for reasons of them listing canonical information and as much as possible seperating canon from fanon. Figured it'd be a good place to get terms that would be closest for the translations we would be given.
The only thing I see myself having a problem with is renaming stuff when fusing tools and having to rename the item (so the cost resets) and not being able to rename it with official name because it was already named that.. But having ALL the books named for Patchouli makes me very happy. xD (Totally wanted to rename them all, but hated the idea of farming exp to do so)
Edit :
The amount of "Girls are preparing..." while loading your map would be unbelievably win. Just a suggestion. ;D
-or Map is preparing...
-or something similar?

there was a weird display of the language that i luckily could fiy fast enough
reason:
Because the name Lævateinn makes it display weird i had to change it to laevateinn.

You mean that everything displays in the small font and the æ displays as some other character? Make sure that your text file is using the UTF-8 encoding.
You mean that everything displays in the small font and the æ displays as some other character? Make sure that your text file is using the UTF-8 encoding.
um which textfile do you mean? cause the language in minecraft is read in .lang files.
well i tried both UTF-8 encoding options and both displayed the text normal but not the name Lævateinn. it was always displayed incorrectly so i will leave it as is. thanks for your help anyway
I sort of intended this so you could see the ['s] at the end.. Is this actually intentional? There's a lot of fanon jokes I don't know about, so just curious if the apostrophy was one of them.
^ I think above might have something to do with [Pad's] also having an apostrophy, but not needing one. Unless this is English IE: England / United Kingdom rather than English IE: United States. I don't know how their punctuation works, but last I checked, having an item say it's multiples (like a single dowsing rod), (or with our english: apostrophy meaning ownership), given Rin's Companion Spirit can stack so would be of use to have the s IE: spirits, but then the game doesn't add an S for multiple of one item, and it's really just about what language you're perfecting. (Assuming you want to perfect it to begin with.)
So you've named the Tenshi's Sword of Scarlet Perception, Shikieiki's Rod of Remorse, Flandre's Laevateinn, but not Reimu's Purification Rod. (Her gohei) I'll still keep the name on mine (Naming mundane items ftw). Because pff.
All of that's just nitpicky stuff that really wouldn't change the overall feel of the language pack, but since it is a Language pack, that's something you can easily pick it and make it as best as possible without being too complex. The fact that there's nothing else to really worry about other than really small things that are easily overlooked means you did really well.
*Posting on thread*
[RAGEQUIT] XD!
Edit :
The UTF-8 format might be because you're missing a language pack, or a coding pack. I wouldn't know where to get these for you since I installed the full language pack from the Windows XP disk, downloaded a complete language pack update from Windows Update, and then.. I sort of borrowed a customization and language pack from an Windows XP Media Center. Haha.
Not everyone would be able to see the æ as they don't have the correct pack installed to view it correctly. Same reason people see Asian languages as boxes and weird built-in OS symbols. ;P It might be better to just leave it as Lae instead of Læ. Theoretically, it's better to have the æ for sake of correctness, but you can't magic the language pack on everyone's tower. What can you do?
Girls are preparing... *Typing post* ^ makes me really happy.

i actually just put the 's there because i didnt know better.^^ gonna change it.
to Rin,s Spirit's: gonna add the 's so it fits better thanks.^^
onto Reimu,s Gohei. i actually named it that because i once looked up shrine maidens on wikipedia.
should i leave it at that or change it to the official name?

im glad the RAGEQUIT thing came around good.^^ its such a nicer experience when you can close minecraft in an epic and funny way.^^
about the Laevateinn: youre right it would be way to complicated but oh well. nothing can be perfect but at least we can make it as good as possible.^^
im glad i could make you happy.^^ if theres any thing you would like to be changed just say the word and ill see what i can do.^^
i actually just put the 's there because i didnt know better.^^ gonna change it.
to Rin,s Spirit's: gonna add the 's so it fits better thanks.^^
Oh lord xD. Ok, the apostrophy goes after Rin, being [Rin's] Companion Spirit, or spirits if you have multiple of them. If you put [Spirit's], then you'd have something that belongs to it. (kind of like [the Spirit's color]) which would be.. partially blue, obviously. If you just had [Spirit's] without a word to give it ownership, it wouldn't make sense. I just brought up the ['s] because [Pads] is fine, but [Pad's] leaves.. one to wonder what item belongs to it.
^ tc:du (too complex : didn't understand) : [Rin's Companion Spirit] would work fine with the game's lack of applying words as plural. There's only one spirit in the item. [Pads] would work as well. The item name should be plural because the item itself is two pads, not just one. If you understood all of that already then maybe I misunderstood your reply and that's sort of my bad. ;P
onto Reimu,s Gohei. i actually named it that because i once looked up shrine maidens on wikipedia.
should i leave it at that or change it to the official name?
thanks thats probably the nicest thing someone said to me here on the forums.^^
Nuh, you deserve it. No matter how big or small the task is, you took it upon yourself to not only make a language pack specifically for a mod, but a mod that wouldn't be widely used. That's a small niche that you're filling, and it's going to be underappreciated simply from the lack of knowledge about it. Anyone who uses it would be very appreciative of the work you've done with it, and I use your language pack with pride.
im glad i could make you happy.^^ if theres any thing you would like to be changed just say the word and ill see what i can do.^^
I haven't seen anything more than what I've mentioned so far, which is pretty damn nice considering if you're from Austria, I doubt English from the United States is your main language. Not that it should be, lol. Most people I know overseas couldn't do half of what you did with your language pack in an everyday conversation. I'm just glad to help. I saw you post this on the texture pack thread, and I just jumped in headfirst. I knew I had to get some of this. ^ Because there's not enough touhou in my ANYTHING.

ah i understand. so if i write Spirit's it would mean that there is something belonging to it like for Rin's right?
but if i write Spirits its ok right?
(I've put it to Spirits fow now)
Gohei is the correct term for the item you're using, you don't have to worry about being wrong on that. Reimu's actually has a name accociated with it, going on this page : http://en.touhouwiki...rayers/Gameplay - When the player presses the X key, Reimu swings her Gohei called the "purification rod," back and forth.
This page : http://en.touhouwiki...i/Reimu_Hakurei - Her miko clothing and her purification rod (お祓い棒, oharai-bou) come from Rinnosuke Morichika, but it is unknown who designs them.
And this one : http://en.touhouwiki...i/Shrine_Maiden - A shrine maiden's main tool, or possibly simply the most popular one, is a stick with elaborately folded paper on the end, known as a "gohei". The name of Reimu's gohei is the "purification rod" (御祓い棒).
I personally think that going with the name of it would be better since you're going to specifically apply the item to belong to Reimu herself.

thank you very much. im glad that you tell me this. it proves me how much progress i was able to do so far ^^
oh and if you want lots of touhou you should check out this site if you don't already know it: http://moriyashrine.....com/index.html
EDIT: do you know how to change topic titles? thanks in advance.
ah i understand. so if i write Spirit's it would mean that there is something belonging to it like for Rin's right?

[Spirit's] can also be used as [Spirit is], just like [it's] is a contraction of [it is]. That's not really appliable here either, so I sort of ignored it. 8D
Yeah, Spirits would be right as a plural. It's really up to you if you want to leave it as plural, as the item is stackable, but since the game doesn't actually name anything as multiples, I'd say Spirit as singular would be more correct, considering there's only one spirit in the item image.

I gave it a look-over, and it's actually pretty nice for a fansite. It's no touhou wikipedia, that's for sure. (Doesn't even have close to the amount of information), but it is built nicely. Unfortunately, I can't say there's a lot on that site that I don't already know about, though. ;<
if you want to you can download it and update it (read my last post)

EDIT: do you know how to change topic titles? thanks in advance.
Unfortunately, I can't say there's a lot on that site that I don't already know about, though. ;<
Hell if I know. ;~; [/useless]
Maybe the full editor on your original post will give you the ability to change it? I have no idea otherwise.
